BURBANK, CA—In order to silence the dangerous idea that cancel culture is real, Disney cut ties with actress Gina Carano yesterday after she posted memes on social media that suggested cancel culture is bad and also that it exists."Cancel culture is just an alt-right conspiracy theory, so we must cancel this actress who suggested it is real," said Kathleen Kennedy. "We are distancing ourselves from this dangerous idea by canceling the woman who perpetrated it."According to Lucasfilm, Carano was given the opportunity to grovel, promise to do better, renounce her beliefs, and agree to undergo 8 weeks in a Disney reeducation camp if she wished to keep her job. When she refused, she was let go."We gave her the chance to avoid cancelation by telling her to recant her belief that cancel culture is real," said Kennedy. "We then tried to burn her at the stake, but our lawyers informed us that's still illegal. For now.""Only when we force everyone to believe the same thing can we defeat fascism."
Excellent @HunterTits !Did you do that or is the image from somewhere else?
Can't tell if this is satire or not. Guess I should post it here.

an argument so common it's referred to as Goodwin's Law?
What REALLY Got Gina Carano CancelledDon’t believe the lies about “racism”, the actress and former athlete has been found guilty of wrongthink. Nothing more. ...As I wrote yesterday, reality itself is under a prolonged assault, and we have to struggle to stick up for what words mean. For what is real. But, if Carano didn’t say anything racist, why has she actually been fired?Well, this is not the first time she has courted controversy on social media. She has made many posts critical of enforced mask-wearing, questioning the Covid vaccine, suggesting the 2020 election may have been rigged, and just generally not buying into pandemic hysteria. (Just yesterday, she was posting that Epstein didn’t kill himself. Which he obviously didn’t).According to The Hollywood Reporter, LucasFilm have been “looking for a reason to get rid of her for months”. Which is even stronger evidence that this has nothing to do with any supposed “racism”, and everything to do with rigidly enforcing a consensus.
I can’t stand Amy Schumer. I swear there’s a 600 pound sow in her family tree.
In all honesty, I was never really down with the Hollywood created butch wanna be man, gender-bending female characters ... so I can actually care less....
If you’ve ever wondered why so many “canceled” people resort to publicly denouncing their previous statements, and decide to profusely and abjectly apologize – The Mandalorian star Gina Carano, who was recently fired by Lucasfilm, is now shedding some light on that topic. These apologies may not be as sincere as they are supposed to sound and may in fact be “scripted” and coming under pressure. In conversation with Bari Weiss, a former New York Times columnist, Carano revealed that Lucasfilm and Disney tried to make her apologize over one of the earlier controversies on social media – when she was attacked online for refusing to add her pronouns to her bio.Carano, who is conservative and was eventually fired for re-sharing an Instagram post that compared current political and social climate to that in Nazi Germany in the 1930s, said that last year, ahead of The Mandalorian launch, the entertainment industry giants wanted her to use “their exact wording for an apology over pronoun usage.”She told Weiss that she refused and instead came up with her own statement, that explained her intention was not to mock transgender people, but to speak against “the abuse of the mob in forcing people to put pronouns in their bio.”
I'll always love Gina for mocking the stupid demand that she publish pronouns for herserlf:
Patrick saysI'll always love Gina for mocking the stupid demand that she publish pronouns for herserlf:I did that at work for my Slack name: It/Cousin ItHR did not come down on ey but my boss tried to get me to pull it. He said, 'that is for when people feel the need to seriously identify how they want to be addressed"Me: "Yeah, and? Are you saying this isn't me being serious? Because I am."Him: "But that is a mockery of the pronoun thing"Me: "yes. And I take it very seriously"I ended up pulling it tho. I already have been Cancel fired once last year...and it was because of what happened on Slack.
Wait, there is as special field for that on Slack? There is a push to get on Slack where I work but so far the whole team has been resisting and sticking to good old e-mail.
Eric Holder saysWait, there is as special field for that on Slack? 90% communications via Slack.
Wait, there is as special field for that on Slack?
Right. But is there a mandatory field there for the fucking "pronouns"?
Hahaha ya got me. I was just digging around slack trying to find it.
just_passing_through saysHahaha ya got me. I was just digging around slack trying to find it.Shit. Didn't mean to do that. But then again, I never said there was specific field for it. I only said,'I did that at work for my Slack name: It/Cousin It'.So the only 'field' I could have referenced there (indirectly I might add) was the name fields. Which exist.
The law is clear and you would win that case almost certainly and could potentially make a lot of money (lost wages in IT plus compensation for damages easily adds up to a million or more), but you need the stamina and nerve to go through with this
it was my assumption based on the clown world we live in
