Well if that is true, that's a flaw in my hypothesis. It may be genetic between my cousin and me. We are strangely similar - I've joked that I'm a better clone of him because his father was in naval intelligence and I was the enhanced improvement. For long I've felt we tell people what type of things should traumatize them, and if we didn't, most of these things wouldn't bother them.

Think of some ancient headhunter spear chucker tribe. They took pride in hunting and killing other humans, and all their children likely saw it positively from a young age. But if you make a modern human kill someone and cut their head off, they'll probably be traumatized and complain of nightmares / disabilities etc... and I'm talking legitimately, not trying faking it to get money.

I really think humans can be conditioned to accept and be ok with some really sick, wild, and crazy stuff merely by the kids observing it as totally normal from the adults.
