Now that SF idiots purposely "closed" many major streets for through traffic, shifting it to much smaller one and majorly inconveniencing the people living there, the smug SF resident fuckers of those "lucky" streets - in this case a sunset chinamen numale (hey in your country people would have run you over a long time ago), but it's really not tied to race - are taking the staggered motorcycle formation to a whole new level, blocking ultra wide streets with their ilk and sticking their hands out and mumble angry gibberish when one tries to pass them. So when you have to take one of those streets legitimately because you're a resident or visiting a resident, a friendly reminder (such as a gentle "don't block the entire road, asshoe!") may save their lives one day if it gets them to rethink their stupid behavior. It's still a road not a playground.

What are you talking about?
2   mell   2021 Jan 17, 4:07pm

SF residents taking the whole road with their bicycles and blocking cars from passing them in streets marked as "closed for through traffic".
3   GlocknLoad   2021 Jan 17, 4:59pm

Why are they marked as closed?

Right. They discourage people from traveling during the pandemic although of course 90% need to make money and work or bring kids somewhere. This has been going on for almost a year now. Instead of the reduced traffic flowing freely for once they now concentrate it in those streets not marked closed. Also by law this has hardly any effect and the signs are planted right in the middle of the intersections making it really hard to enter and exit the otherwise wide enough streets, endangering travelers. Yes sheer SF stupidity, SF leftoids are among the stupidest and most corrupt politicians. It not only shows their stupidity but so their contempt for those who need to use the roads. But they can always count on a few smug fucks to annoy the shit out of their fellow citizens, divide and conquer.

lol yes on top of you being already on a short fuse due to SF corruption and filth making ones life difficult, they let hobos ask for money at every intersection and hurl filth at you if you brush them off too brashly.

Fact: Bikeseats are perfectly positioned to cut off your testosterone. That's why bicyclists are as aggressive as Bodybuilders who went off the roids without taking Clomid.

They have started falling rather rapidly, rents even more, but are still overpriced. Moving vans everywhere. Once a great city, ruined by leftoids. Glad I caught the Libertarian hey days.

SF certainly is Smug City. On so many levels.

I am personally boycotting all of San Francisco from now on. Not going there, they are not getting my money. At all.

I'll reconsider when they have a conservative city government and put Columbus back on Telegraph Hill.

This is not nothing. Each of us is not nothing. Together, we are a whole lot.

It bothers me moreso because they turn everything to shit. I used to like riding my bike and respect cyclists (it's a great sport and means of transportation if you don't overdo it and oppress your nuts) and always make sure I have plenty of room to pass them but this is utter contempt for drivers by politicians and the smug asshoes, it doesn't solve anything but creates more problems and division and is totally unnecessary. But that's SF. The city does poorly in general with too many people and the poor and corrupt city management, and it does even worse if the inhabitants has too many smug asshoes. Now when I go on a bike ride every driver assumes I'm one of the asshoes. You should see their surprised faces when you actually stop for them occasionally and don't cut them off and yell at them at every occasion.

The municipality is going broke. It's going to get ugly like we haven't seen anything yet. Oakland and San Jose are in similar trouble but not as bad as in SF.

$2,000 X 200,000,000 citizens =$400,000,000,000. The stimulus is for $1,900,000,000,000. That leaves $1,500,000,000,000 to bail out the states and teach gender studies to Pakistanis.

Biden is planning on spending as much in his first week in office as Reagan spent to end the USSR.
18   WookieMan   2021 Jan 18, 7:15am

Only the big muni’s will get bailed out because of piss poor pension planning. Towns 100k or less are fucked and just have to deal... This will be a massively lopsided bail out for places that don’t know basic accounting.

18,759 highly compensated employees, each bringing home pay packages worth $150,000 (or more) annually

Some high lites from a Forbes article on SF's Civil Service payroll:

Police Chief William Scott earned $434,613 ($338,482 salary and $96,131 benefits). Four assistant chiefs (police and management) received between $346,528 and $445,539. Then, there were 195 employees with pay and perks exceeding $300,000 each.

Sheriff Paul Miyamoto made $357,570 in total compensation. Overall, the sheriff paid out $100,000+ in overtime pay to fifty employees including $315,896 in overtime to a senior deputy sheriff with total comp of $574,595.
The Fire Department had two chiefs last year. Outgoing Chief Joanne Hayes-White retired on a $311,560 annual pension and Chief Jeanine Nicholson replaced her in May 2019.
Last year, Hayes-White received $386,727 and Nicholson received $442,722 in total compensation. However, cash compensation alone is not the full story. The department maintains a $2 million four-bedroom landmark home as the chief’s residence.
A fire prevention lieutenant made $415,111 – more than double their $184,791 base salary with a whopping $230,320 in overtime. Fifteen employees received over $100,000 in overtime pay alone.

Public works employs a staff of 1,790, including truck drivers ($218,495), arborists ($206,107), and general laborers ($188,975). Team members on the self-styled “poop patrol” cost taxpayers up to $184,000 each.
San Francisco’s self-titled “Mr. Clean,” Mohammed Nuru, Public Works Director, is best known for failed efforts to keep feces and hypodermic needles out of the public way.
In 2019, Nuru earned $380,120 in total compensation and his base salary alone spiked $65,000 over eight years. It wasn’t enough, apparently. In February 2020, the FBI arrested Nuru in an alleged porta-potty scandal.

More likely because Armstrong was doping with probably dozens of steroids and drugs.

Everybody knew Armstrong was doping - anybody that biked anyhow. I doubt there's hardly ANYBODY at the national level that isn't using something to enhance performance - even if they aren't aware of it. Some steroid for muscle pain, some "supplement".

When I was younger, I could maintain 23 MPH for maybe 30 minutes and I was in pretty good shape. They do more than that on average through the Alps. They are nearly inhuman.

Yep. Their resting pulse is so low - usually a great thing - that some need to wear alarm devices when they're sleeping if it gets dangerously low to wake them up - read that years ago don't quote me on that. But I think 28 was one of the lowest ever recorded. That heart must be massive. Inhuman indeed.

As a way of destroying an enemy country, teaching "gender" studies is way up there, near neutron bomb levels of effectiveness.

I'd be all for tax dollars being used to teach "gender" studies to Pakistanis, Saudis, any country we want to destroy.

Wow, Mohammed Nuru is back in the news:

https://apnews.com/article/robbery-arrests-business-government-and-politics-b31d5adef490f6e889379382e14cb7d2

San Francisco’s former public works director, who resigned after being charged in a City Hall corruption case, was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to rob someone at knifepoint, authorities said.

Mohammed Nuru, 58, was booked on suspicion of attempted robbery after someone reported being approached by a man around 11:15 a.m. who pulled a knife and demanded the man’s property, according to a police statement.

Nuru was peacefully arrested, police said.

Nuru was working at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank in the Dogpatch neighborhood, where he is a longtime volunteer, when he approached someone eating potato chips in the break room while holding a kitchen knife, Keely Hopkins, the organization’s communications manager, told KGO-TV.

That person felt threatened and called police, Hopkins said, but nobody was hurt and the other volunteers were sent home.

A message seeking comment from Ismail Ramsey, an attorney who has represented Nuru, wasn’t immediately returned after hours Wednesday.

Nuru resigned his post last year after being charged with fraud and lying to the FBI. Prosecutors allege he took thousands of dollars in gifts and cash from contractors. They also allege that he conspired with a restaurateur in 2018 to bribe an airport commissioner for prime restaurant space at San Francisco International Airport.

Nuru’s case is still in the courts.

In February, a recycling plant owner was sentenced to federal prison after stating in a plea agreement that he plied Nuru with gifts that included a $36,500 gold Rolex watch.

About a dozen people have been charged with corruption in a sweeping City Hall probe. Multiple city department heads have been forced to resign.

WTF, he stole potato chips at knifepoint?

I haven’t been to SF in years. Perfectly happy in the Tri Valley.

A family member recently drove into SF to check on a business thats been closed since last March 2020. I was told that person never felt as unsafe walking Market Street as they did that day.

San Francisco is best enjoyed as a tourist, not a resident.

Even better is “dating” a female who lives up there. She deals with the shit all week, while you just enjoy the views and her company during your visit.

Eventually she gets annoyed when you don’t commit and relocate to San Francisco.
Lather, rinse, repeat.

Aside from weather, all of the things that San Francisco purports to be, New York is better. Although there are a lot of degenerates roaming the street there at the moment.
With the way the streets in SF are, I wouldn't even really want to go there, other than to visit family nearby.

All the suburbs are better - fewer homeless, less hard drug use, less far-left idiocy.
