President-elect Joe Biden’s plans for a major new economic relief package boosting stimulus payments to $2,000 ran into possibly fatal opposition from his own party Friday as Sen. Joe Manchin III (D-W.Va.) said he would “absolutely not” support a new round of checks.
Manchin, a moderate who will hold great sway in a Senate split 50-50 between Democrats and Republicans, made his views known even as the Biden team worked to develop a coronavirus relief package that would include new stimulus checks, extended unemployment benefits, and more.

How so?

In today's periscope session he predicted that there will be one D senator who will be holding hostage the whole donkey show (and getting something out of it).

The irony is bi-den will likely employ many popular moves like this that do not differ from what Trump wanted and the media will suddenly cheer it. There is already a headline 'hooray bi-den to release all covid vaccines'. When trump was in charge it was "boo orange! man! bad! releasing untested vaccines to guinea pigs!" Clown world Iol

Or they threatened Manchin and family with investigations. Innocence is slim defense in the PRI world. Manchin will also back out of his promise to stop the Dems from packing the court.

There is no reason Trump should not take AOC up on her commitment for the $2000 checks. He is on record as wanting them. He should speed up the process by publicly committing to them. Why let Biden have the fun?

Demon rats in the House will refuse to take this up because they are busy with the second impeachment.
