I teach kids at that age for a living. They say stupid things all the time. We all did. This is just dumb. The kid who held it for years waiting to use it at the right time is despicable. Had the video been brought up when it happened, it's detention, and it's over. Instead, the kid wants to ruin the other person's life. Meanwhile, the SJW thinks that they got one over because it's on the internet...not realizing, his stupid BS is as well. What employer would actually hire this kid knowing that he'll likely try to save dirt on everyone at work? He'll claim no one is ever willing to give him a shot.

Reminds me of a girl that tried to MeToo one of my coworkers. It was BS from the start and now, no one in the school talks to her afraid they'll be her next target. She constantly claims we have isolated her now.

This is obscene. Sorry loser gets his revenge on the popular head cheerleader.

The diversity department at any institution.

Yup. I called a black kid a nigger in grade school because I just learned the word and was naive. Parents were called and I was sent to the principles office. I had no clue. Lesson learned... though the guy was being a jag off.

The somewhat ironic part is I learned the word from black rap music. No one in my family is or was remotely racist, I'm not either, and had never said the word in front of me. I'd have never said it if I didn't listen to 90's rap at the time.

In hindsight I don't feel as bad as I did back then. When you call yourself a derogatory term over and over and over again because of "culture." It no longer is a dirty word in my world. More along the lines of calling someone an ass hole. Blacks themselves have popularized a word that they deem offensive. It's the most bizarre thing really.

When. When you call yourself a derogatory term over and over and over again . . .
it takes the power out of the word my Mick.(I'm part Irish).

Then again, Biden survived his 1977 'Integrating Black Students Would Turn Schools into ‘A Jungle… A Racial Jungle.- I don't want my children to grow up in a jungle, a racial jungle."

Liberals are back to scaring people of word “Negro”. Got nothing better to worry about I guess.

I'm 1/2 Polack and 1/2 Mick AFAIK.

I find it ironic that Polack is a slur, because in Polish, a male Polish man is called a "Polak".

Basically all this wokeness is nothing more than a way to be able to get rid of somebody should they want.

Yup. Wouldn't be shocked if kids get expelled for dropping nigger in school now. Not saying it's okay to, just saying times have changed dramatically with regards to using a word. My kids have never said it, but odds are they've heard it in music. If you don't want to be called that, don't use the word in pop music.

Other reality is it's just a word. We can take words and mold them to whatever meaning we want. It's up to you if you want to be hurt by it. Don't be hurt is my take. If a black guy called me a honkey I'd frankly laugh at them. 1865 is long gone. No one alive today has even a living reference to slavery besides written word (didn't and doesn't know anyone that was a slave).

Similar case:

WASHINGTON — It was a Saturday in the spring of 2017, and a ninth grade student in Pennsylvania was having a bad day. She had just learned that she had failed to make the varsity cheerleading squad and would remain on junior varsity.

The student expressed her frustration on social media, sending a message on Snapchat to about 250 friends. The message included an image of the student and a friend with their middle fingers raised, along with text expressing a similar sentiment. Using a curse word four times, the student expressed her dissatisfaction with “school,” “softball,” “cheer” and “everything.”

Though Snapchat messages are ephemeral by design, another student took a screenshot of this one and showed it to her mother, a coach. The school suspended the student from cheerleading for a year, saying the punishment was needed to “avoid chaos” and maintain a “teamlike environment.”

The student sued the school district, winning a sweeping victory in the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, in Philadelphia. The court said the First Amendment did not allow public schools to punish students for speech outside school grounds.

Next month, at its first private conference after the holiday break, the Supreme Court will consider whether to hear the case, Mahanoy Area School District v. BL, No. 20-255. The 3rd Circuit’s ruling is in tension with decisions from several other courts, and such splits often invite Supreme Court review.

In urging the justices to hear the case, the school district said administrators around the nation needed a definitive ruling from the Supreme Court on their power to discipline students for what they say away from school.

“The question presented recurs constantly and has become even more urgent as COVID-19 has forced schools to operate online,” a brief for the school district said. “Only this court can resolve this threshold First Amendment question bedeviling the nation’s nearly 100,000 public schools.”

Justin Driver, a law professor at Yale and author of “The Schoolhouse Gate: Public Education, the Supreme Court and the Battle for the American Mind,” agreed with the school district, to a point.

“It is difficult to exaggerate the stakes of this constitutional question,” he said. But he added that schools had no business telling students what they could say when they were not in school.

“In the modern era, a tremendous percentage of minors’ speech occurs off campus but online,” he said. “Judicial decisions that permit schools to regulate off-campus speech that criticizes public schools are antithetical to the First Amendment. Such decisions empower schools to reach into any student’s home and declare critical statements verboten, something that should deeply alarm all Americans.”

I think folding that easily was a mistake. Should've sued the shit out of that university.

You'd be surprised. The lot of them are run by closet racists and wouldn't dare hire a black kid knowing what he's capable of.

Obligatory: This thread is worthless without pics ;) That girl is smoking hot. Hot honkee girl barred from university by way of effeminate negro. Marcellus Wallace would not approve.

The N word I also learned from rap music growing up....not from family, not from friends, not from anyone in my circle.

I learned the word through rap music and heard it over and over and over again in that music to the point that the word lost its impact.

And even more frequently not in retaliation for anything except being non-Muslim.
