I'm keen on learning about energy as it's kicking some butt right now in the market. Fascinating article that goes against all the sound bites we've heard in the media. Chris MacIntosh is a hedge fund manager who focus is on the global macro economy and behavioural economics.

Interesting. A call to invest in commodities like copper, cobalt, and lithium, since extensive use of these materials will be needed to supply the mandated amount of electric vehicles. I would not invest in "Green Energy" companies, as they will be scams like Solyndra and SunEdison.

Buy Rivian when it goes public!

Rivian will have quite the competition from the electric Ford F-150. Ford has quite the experience with both pick up trucks and electric vehicles. Rivian is very expensive and may be limited to the Rolls Royce/Land Rover type clients.

Nickel. Musk needs gigatons of Nickel for batteries. This was in July:

Check out NOVRF copper nickel royalty play with great upside potential. Don't chase it's up quite a bit - wait for pullback or breakout. This one is killing it for me. I'm invested energy etf like XLE, OIH, brokeout recently. I want to add more to energy as it sure is cheap! but looking into drillers and tankers. EVs scare me I'm contrarian by nature.

those solar powered drones that can soar in the upper atmosphere will soon be dispersing aerosols to slightly darken the planet

Tesla Upside from Battery Energy Projects is huge. Tesla Vehicle Sales tap into an $80Bn Market. Energy is an $800 Bn market. He's just begun to scratch the surface with energy projects, and he's standing up advanced, high volume battery production right now. Everyone else is playing catch-up, 6 years behind.

Starlink will also make Billions selling financial interests faster hypertrading, replacing undersea cables. Starlink should go public in ~2 years. Musk has committed to opening investment to everyone, just as with Tesla stock. Musk is already the world's largest global satellite operator with >900 on orbit. He's building Starship that can launch 400 satellites vs. 60 per Falcon-9 launch.

SpaceX won't go public until a self-sustaining city on Mars is a reality. But, Alphabet is a primary investor if you want to ride along.

I'd heard starlink is only for rural areas. Perhaps that's only in the short run?

Sounds like the 70's all over again. They were about the only upside to investing in that decade since there seemed to be a permanent shortage of all of them.

I bought TSLA on the strength of the battery biz. But it just kept on going, so I freaked out and sold. Damn. Nice profit anyway.

Mostly - at first. But he's planning for 40,000 satellites. Yup, 40,000. That's a lot of bandwidth, certainly enough to cover the undersea cable routes. Other players (Bezos, etc.) are asking for Space and Bandwidth, but they have no launch vehicles and almost no satellites yet. How will they compete with the world's cheapest launch system that's also owned by the operator?

Musk is actually pretty transformative dude. I'm long TSLA. He's ahead of the curve in EV, battery, AI, space, communications etc... Have you seen when multiple Falcons rockets land, looks like something out of scifi.

Best of all, he's seems red-pilled.

DId y'all know Tesla Batteries power the BFR/Spaceship? Everything Musk does gels with everything else.

Awesome and frankly I would have been happy/impressed by rural only. I'm going to get a cabin and will definitely be getting one of those.
