The student must take a national standardized test
Most colleges only give subject credit if the student scores a 1 or a 2.You might want to re-check that scoring system.

I was amazed that the top schools only give credit for calculus, physics, chemistry, computers science, and foreign language. No credit given for biology, history, English, music, etc. So I'm guessing that those non-credit subjects are already considered too watered down?
What I am saying is that for the subjects they do accept, the student needs a 1 or a 2 grade on the test.Maybe they reversed the scoring system? Please see this site posted in March 2020:
Only a few lower tier colleges will give credit for a 3. Not sure why those top tier schools you mentioned do not take AP English, etc., as students who took watered down courses would still flunk the standardized tests.
Elimination of AP courses if Black students do not score as high as WhiteYeah, that's totally ridiculous. Before the coddling of certain groups of people, the SATs and the APs were seen specifically as a way of ending discriminatory admissions processes.
No matter. I know what you meant even if your (or my) numbers are backwards. No problem HeadSet. Just trying to keep up to date myself. I didn't even attempt the AP Latin test. I assume that AP Spanish would be disheartening with all the native speakers acing it without even trying. I didn't have any excuse in Latin though; that's my own lack of language skills.
It appears to be me that got the scoring backwards. I was going by memory from 3 years ago when my daughter took the AP tests. I remember she got a "3" in Spanish and the college would not accept that 3 for credit.
