#coronavirusdeathsintheus According to my system of statistics, as of this morning some 299,692 people have died of coronavirus in the US. This number is hard to imagine. It is as if everyone in Anchorage, Alaska, Bakersfield, California, or Anaheim, California died.

Please allow me to put a human face to all this death and suffering. Tom Meyer is a man from Ohio. He recently died at age 71 due to coronavirus. His story was on television last night. It was told through the eyes of his loving daughter. He was in the hospital for blood pressure problems. He was diagnosed as Covid-19 positive. He went to the ICU. He stayed there for some time. He was on ventilators. He technically died two times. He was able to leave the ICU and was discharged from the hospital. He was sent to a nursing home to finish his recovery. His prognosis was positive. Unexpectedly he died. He never got to see his new-born granddaughter.

It's a new Covid-19 season. Those are not accurate stats as you're attributing last winter and spring deaths up to today. If we want to go cumulative you might want to start quoting flu stats. In the US we've probably already hit 10M plus deaths and over 1B cases. Think about those stats. Those are scary. And there's a vaccine too for the plethora of influenza strains.

Now imagine a vaccine is made that's even 50% effective and Covid is probably less deadly than influenza strains by almost 80%.

Stop spreading fear. The end result is not good with our current situation. Many, many more unnecessary deaths will occur due to the reaction and not the virus. The guy in your example was 71. He lived a full life by most metrics. It's frankly not sad or upsetting at all. The vast majority of deaths were coming anyway due to age and poor health during younger years.

What's sad is when friends OD on heroin at 38 with two kids because we shut the fucking economy down and they spiraled out of control. Or they hung themselves like another friend at 35. That's my reality. I'll try to be polite, but this fucking Covid fear has to stop and I'm on a mission to go full force into shutting it down. So sick of this here and on social media. We all die. Grow up.

That's a pity - what did he die of?

I know that if a doctor falsely labels the death as a coronavirus death, that it's more than $30K from the federal government.

Certainly he couldn't still have coronavirus and have been sent to the most vulnerable population in our society - a nursing home. That would be risking every person's life in a nursing home, that would be insanity, even arguably murder. So again, what did he die of?

That particular example of a covid death sounds inconclusive at best.

He had "blood pressure issues" aka he had a stroke or heart attack, coded and was kept alive on ventilators for a bigger hospital insurance check....

Remember when people used to die of old age, natural causes, pneumonia, heart attack, traffic wrecks and domestic accidents?

I do.

Just came back positive again. That's not supposed to be possible. And how come the world leaders that had it, are saying they'll take the vax?
8   Onvacation   2020 Dec 11, 7:03am

I heard that the test is not specific enough and detects all colds as covid-19.
9   clambo   2020 Dec 11, 7:40am

94% of the dead have 2+ other health problems (CDC).
So, 6% of the dead is close to the number of people who die falling down stairs (12,000/year)
40% of the dead are in nursing homes.
The PCR test gives a high % of false positive, it’s useless except for spreading fear.

There's 330,000,000 Americans. This "pandemic" has killed all of 299,692/330,000,000 = 0.091% of the population. That means only 99.91% have survived the "pandemic". I am sorry for the people that have died, but I feel sorry for people that have died from cancer, the flu, car accidents, heart attacks, and lightning strikes as well.

We are not in a pandemic. This is nowhere close as lethal as has been sold to us. Not even close.

I'll let you take the vaccine first. If it works, you're immune aren't you? Then even if I get sick, I'm no risk to you - am I? We are not shut down over this disease. It's other reasons. I hope Trump retains his presidency, and that he doesn't bail out a single state that has pulled this crap, and I'm in a state that is currently pulling this crap. I'd rather see civil unrest than to have these assholes in this government get bailed out from their own fucking stupidity.

My governor was spotted at a private, indoor dinner. That's Newsom. Fuck him and fuck the people that put up with this shit. I have no problem seeing unrest. The zombies I live among deserve it.

He was highly likely to have died of the lock-down (reducing his chance of being exposed to less deadly mutations of the virus in society from healthy people in normal social interaction, thereby developing immunity earlier) and being forcibly exposed to the deadly mutations that the government insisted on stuffing into nursing homes.

Nice story, Bro.

Please tell me how many common flu deaths so far this year? I can't find any. Prove me wrong.

I'm skeptical of the total Covid death numbers.
I'm very skeptical about the "total Cases" numbers.
I'm skeptical about mask effectiveness.
I'm skeptical about lockdown effectiveness.

I guess I'm just a skeptic about a virus that is, at best, twice as bad as the regular flu.
So please stop "putting a face to Covid" with heartfelt stories of deaths designed to give me an emotional response.

The real question is, why are you the official PatNet Troller for this info? What agency do you represent?

It's totally possible because it's PCR - viral fragments can be detected even in recovered patients, and viruses can lie dormant and reactivate which may or may not cause symptoms. It's only a useful measure if you have symptoms.
18   MisdemeanorRebel   2020 Dec 11, 10:18am

In other words, he lived his more or less his life insurance agency calculated lifespan.

PCR of 30-40 will basically find dead or partial genetic material from any virus in your system.

20   theoakman   2020 Dec 11, 11:22am

Listen, people dying are around or higher than the average lifespan of a human. This thing is way overblown. The only thing that is true is because hospitals normally got loaded from flu patients during flu season, it was going to be above capacity temporarily because you had a brand new bug on top of it. Our hospitals are not overloaded right now.

We seem to be generally very unhealthy, and fertile ground for any infectious disease.
I have heard the term "high calorie malnutrition".
30somthing% of Americans are obese and only 1 in 8 of us are "metabolically healthy" even if we are normal weight.
https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/met.2018.0105, check your numbers.
God knows what the general aerobic fitness is.
I saw a little video of Spring Break in Florida from back in the 70's. The kids were ALL normal weight and seemed to be so vibrant.
