While promising to crack down on election misinformation on its platform and labeling a large number of President Donald Trump’s posts, Twitter allowed misinformation about Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) to spread virally across its platform freely.

Social media giant Twitter has promised to make many efforts to prevent the spread of misinformation on its platform. In recent months the site has blocked users from sharing links to lawyer Sidney Powell’s lawsuit relating to widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election, announcing plans to send users warnings if they attempt to “like” tweets that Twitter determines constitute misinformation, and repeatedly censoring or labeling tweets from Trump relating to the recent election.

However, despite Twitter’s supposed dedication to cracking down on misinformation, the site allowed a number of tweets about Loeffler to spread virally across its platform, some with tens of thousands of likes are still active on the platform with no warnings or labels whatsoever.

One tweet has amassed almost 80,000 likes and has been retweeted over 25 thousand times. It claims that Loeffler is campaigning in the Georgia Senate runoff elections on “understanding what it feels like living paycheck to paycheck.” The tweet includes a picture of a large home with a pool, claiming that it is one of Loeffler’s five homes. It is not.

The photo in the picture is actually the home of TV host and comedian Steve Harvey; before Harvey owned the house actor and producer Tyler Perry owned the home. One tweet with 642 likes pointed this out in reply to the initial tweet:

Is she renting from Steve Harvey? https://t.co/gHGevHrd4g

When searching Twitter for “Kelly Loeffler” the term “Kelly Loeffler House” is immediately suggested by Twitter. A number of other false and misleading tweets about Loeffler’s homes can be found under the search term:

This is Kelly Loeffler's house. She lives in Georgia, one of the poorest states in the nation. pic.twitter.com/yew0Azvpw9

Sen. Kelly Loeffler lives in the house in my profile photo. You really think she relates to the average person in Georgia? Vote her into retirement. pic.twitter.com/y6QAT2JFNf

You’re the one with all the houses and the money right? pic.twitter.com/BN7e9ZsHfU

None of these tweets were labeled by Twitter as misinformation and still remain on the platform with no restrictions whatsoever despite multiple users tagging the @TwitterSupport official account in order to raise awareness of the issue.

HERE are some RESPONSES on Breitbart:

Mine: My dream is his nightmare: Dorsey falls asleep in his ice bath and wakes up in a paralyzed state.

Right Guy says:

Jack Dorsey should be facing perjury charges. THAT is something that the Senate can DO. They want to keep control. Maybe if they act the voters will see what control means. Because the Dems will have NO problems showing us what the Senate can do when run by Fascists.

Sierra says:

Disagree. He should be facing execution for treason

Jeremiah's Johnson says:

Looks like the Unibomber had some conjugal visits in prison.

Senator Blutarsky says:

Stephanie Payne says:

Anyone can become a 'tech titan' as long as they hate America and don't mind being bankrolled by the Chinese Communists. Look at all the tech titans who have Chinese wives... what do you think that's all about?

Does anybody NOT know by now that the big tech platforms simply lie blatantly about why they censor?

They are just engaging in political censorship, the rules they claim to be enforcing are just cover.

The reason that the terms of service are so nebulous is so they can censor whatever they wish to censor. It is also why they never identify specifically how you've violated the terms of service when you are censored. Stop pretending they actually have a terms of service.

How about THIS:

Break Up Big Tech Act would remove Section 230 protections — critical to the business model of the Silicon Valley Masters of the Universe — from platforms that “moderate or censor content without an opt-in from users.”

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) have introduced a bipartisan bill that would strip legal immunities from tech companies that censor users without their consent.

According to a press release on Rep. Gabbard’s website, the bill would also remove 230 immunities from companies that engage in the following practices:

Selling and displaying personalized as well as contextual advertising without user’s consent
Collecting data for commercial purposes other than the direct sale of the interactive computer service, i.e. turning the user into a commodity or otherwise monetizing the transmission of content
Acting as a marketplace in the digital space by facilitating the placement of items into the stream of commerce
Employing digital products and designs intended to engage and addict users to the service

“Big Tech monopolies continue to censor and manipulate users without consent or liability. The Break Up Big Tech Act revokes liability protections for bad Samaritans and instead empowers users,” said Rep. Gosar.

Of course there is no way the Gosar/Gabbard bill will pass with a Dem controlled congress and if Biden gets in, which looks like he will, then it's all over for the conservatives and any reasonable policy decisions.

They are playing politics, one sided politics. They are out to destroy Republican party, because they think they will gain favor with Democrats. They don't realize how this will fuck them up in a long run. Silencing one side has never worked out well, nazi germany, communist ussr, communist china... those are examples of one sided censorship that twitter is practicing.

Jack Dorsey is a piece of shit.

i'm surprised GOP isn't suing Twitter for this? They are supposed to only censor under "good faith". They aren't allowed to censor arbitrarily and become a publisher.

That is a good point. We must fight back, or we'll be living under a commie boot, our children will be living under a commie boot because we did not speak up. Got to speak up.

Why does anyone still post to Twitter? Do they make money from it somehow?

It seems people should be fleeing to alternate sites.

I have been weening myself off youtube with bitchute, newtube, and rumble.

Youtube still has cool America Cup videos and I have not found all of my favorites on alternate sites yet.

What is the best video sharing site?
