I assume you can outrun homeless bums and flying poo. However, younger ghetto spawns might bag you along the way.

Good point! But pepper spray should work wonders :)

. I will probably take pepper spray, a hat, sunglasses my cellphone, and water this time to be safe.

Belt fed or dead!

“Officers on patrol saw a fire, thought it was a debris fire,” said San Francisco police Sgt. Anthony Pedroza. “They came up and saw it was a person. It was an obvious death to them. They called the paramedics…

Nice of them to call paramedics I guess, but perhaps not the best use of paramedics' time.

I'm tempted to go running to the Ferry Building from Daly City. Is it safe?

I think it would be safer and perhaps a lot more pleasant to simply run up the coast from Daly City to Ocean Beach or even the GG Bridge.

Why did they call paramedics. They should have demonstrated compassion and provided the other homeless with sticks, marshmallows, and hot dogs.

Or a box of "Hamburger Helper."

That's right. Rox42 forgot about the homeless and their improvised flame throwers using cans of hair spray. Sneakers need poo guards.

I participated in a 18 mile marathon to sfo pier 39 from near San Bruno few years ago. Saw couple of crazy people on the way. Going alone is not a good idea particularly near sf.

just carry a bag of chicken nuggets and toss a few when you see a threat

If you can run while carrying an m134 I don't see a problem with your plan.

Fed up neighbor? Drug deal gone wrong?

"The case is being considered a suspicious death."

Well, I knew a guy in the day who was addicted to crack, and setting yourself on fire with solvents is a common hazard. His girl friend died in such a fire, as well as the home he was living in, and, of course, we have the cases of Rick James and Richard Pryor and a few other celebrity self-igniters.
