Truly, anybody with a sane mind should move their businesses if they are in California.
California will resemble the model that helped bring down the Soviet Union: a few victimized businesses that tolerate the torture and government extortion for whatever reason, or have politicians bought off, or operate entirely Black Market under the tax and regulation radars to form complete, competing underground economies.
i know from client reports that such black market economies already exist in LA, and they eventually become wealthy enough to challenge the entrenched government grifters and they are always connected to criminal enterprise. When you can operate without the taxes and the regulations, your profit margins can be enormous, and not just in the traditional criminal areas of arms/ human trafficking/drugs/gambling etc.
The nominal untrustworthy government is just another gang to deal with. Maybe that's why the (alleged) Russian mobsters are in my hood.
