McCain was always in it for himself. It doesn't matter that he was a war hero. Too many times, we assign an aura of infallibility around someone who went through what he did....they politically are useful because if you dare oppose them, you are a bad person.
The guy had no clear set of principles. He was a liberal republican transformed into a full on neocon while running for president. Afterwards, he became the antitrump figure.
He was always a self-serving spoiled toad. He should have never been a jet pilot in the first place with his performance at the Naval Academy. He had a record of accidents before he was deployed to Vietnam, too.
