DETROIT (Reuters) - Millions of U.S. workers have lost their jobs to the pandemic, but in the auto industry, suppliers are scrambling to find enough people to staff production lines, resorting to such approaches as rewards for good attendance and at-work teachers to lure job seekers.
At auto parts maker Mobex Global, Chief Executive Joe Perkins said he is boosting pay and offering bonuses to help fill 80 job openings. His engineering and machining company is running more overtime to meet rising demand.
"It is the most critical issue in our company," said Perkins, whose firm has 12 U.S. plants and counts General Motors Co (GM.N) and Ford Motor Co (F.N) among its customers.
“We’re using almost 10 staffing companies across the plants,” he told Reuters. “We’re using multiple jobs boards, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, Monster, local news stations, down to lawn signs, local papers, billboards, public transportation, church bulletins, you name it.”

Liberals are such miserable fucks. My bass player friend. Who doesn't vote by the way. But loves injecting a counter argument into any pro MAGA discussion, just to try to hide his ignorance. He hates hearing people talk about something he knows nothing about. So he will always counter what ever you say by just trying to oppose it. Even when he doesn't have a clue what you're talking about.

I told him last week, that jobs were going to come back on line with a vengeance and and that even musicians would be in demand again.

He got agitated and barked out. "That's fine, what about NOW, people have lost their jobs?"

I told him, look I'm not running for office here, I'm not laying out some policy I promise to enact when I'm elected. I'm just telling you jobs are going to bounce back in weeks or a few months, it wont be a year or two long slog.

Rather than taking it as a glimmer of hope, again he shat on it again saying. "What about now?"

Unfiuckingbelievable. If Things were great now, then I wouldn't be so excited about the near term future's prospects.

We finally had to stop talking about politics, but he brought up the NBA, which I promptly shat on, and he couldn't understand why I hate on it so much.

David Lee Roth and Roger Waters would still be members of the best rock bands in musical history, had they had been as understanding as I am.
