The encomiums of RGB are along the lines that she was incredibly stubborn and persistent, with an ideologically inflexible mind, as if that were a good thing. It's a good thing for a Communist tyrant, not a jurist.
Her legacy was terribly mired by her not stepping down when she was sick and over the hill, purely over professed political hatreds. None of those things indicate that she was any kind of good material for SCOTUS.
If she had retired at the reasonable indicated time, and just let the cards fall where they may, I could have believed that she was a reasonable person.
I think it might be somewhat significant that she does 45 days from the re-election of our 45th President. Maybe it’s a sign? Out with the old and onward with MAGA!
I also agree with Ceffer that we don’t need ideological jurists on the SCOTUS. That’s all the Dems nominate though.
