That’s what I don’t understand. But I think security is much more hands off now in the past. I haven’t been to Commerce Casino in LA in about a decade, but I was always impressed with how many Samoans they hired. A couple of those guys were fucking humongous....the biggest about 6’8 and 360 lbs. Would not surprise me if they were former college or nfl football players.

One night a guy tried to take a few white chips ($100) from the table closest to the door...around 40 feet. He made it no where near the door. I think the security card just saw an opposing running back. Another time a guy pulled a gun at a table in the middle of the casino. About 10 seconds before he was tackled.

Another night there was a lady who was well known and liked, but an alcoholic. She got smashed in the bar and two guys who I know she would have never normally been with were trying to walk her out of the casino. She could barely walk, and kept saying that she didn’t want to leave and needed to go back to the bar and get her purse. I let a security guard know and within a minute there were several security officers escorting the two men to the security office and another calling her a cab.

Nothing, I mean nothing, happened at that casino. Safest parking lots, always felt safe inside. I wonder how it is now.

The Flamingo of 15-20 years ago wouldn’t have let those people in the casino at all. I guess times change. I wouldn’t feel safe in that situation.
