Nobody needs to be hungry in the US. We all lived off junk food when studying. You can get all the calories you need for the day from your local fast food chain for $3. If you're not in the field all day 1200-1500 calories will do. In fact most poor people are overweight. Real problems are the high costs of housing and Healthcare. In SF the oldschool chinese grannies who still cook for the whole family stand in line for the free food, sometimes twice or thrice. Then they make free dinner for their peeps and afterwards take the family mercedes for a drive.

You can eat out of the trash here and get obesity. Takes about 5 minutes to find 1500 calories that was only tossed half an hour ago in any suburb or urban area.

Usually when a cook is proud of the meal they made that they had to post and brag about what a great cook they are becoming.They at least mention what they cooked for lunch. Especially if it was so good, it made them feel guilty.

I have no issue with these posts. But a fair number are commercials, or thinly veiled commercials. Some posts are clearly inflammatory trolling.
