I had a cancer diagnosis about ten years ago that was not good(about a 45% five year survival rate with mitigating circumstances making it worse than that) . I only have one sibling and my only two first cousins live hundreds of miles away. Still I have strong friendships and had literally seven different families offer for me to stay with them for as long as I needed. I had three other friends/coworkers visit me in the hospital.

Point being I value loyalty and friendship. Because of that I have a fairly massive support system in place. Literally I could be in the worst place in life and still have people that I can rely on if need be.

In the video, that older ill lady ought to have had a friend or family member who could have made that trip and purchase for her. If she’s bored she can go for a walk but shouldn’t be running mundane errands where she’s exposing herself to randoms everywhere. But I’d bet anything she either doesn’t have kids, pissed off her kids, or raised a bunch of shitheads. And no one else can stand her either.
