I feel we are living in a nanny state to the extent that the government might as well ask everybody to stay inside to avoid getting skin cancer from the sun and/or into a car accident. So I am curious if anybody would be interested in going to a restaurant/store without a mask in a group protest? I'm assuming somebody somewhere owns a store/restaurant that would be good patronage on patrick.net. I know someone in SF who might be favorable to this idea.

I think I will pass on it.

Back in the day it was not unusual to see Asian immigrants in the Bay Area wearing masks. It was because they had a cold and they were being considerate of others by wearing the mask. It was not a political statement or whatever.

Same sort of thing now. Just being considerate, not to comply with the nanny state.

It's prob not fair to the owner to get them into trouble. If they are on board with it then that may work better.

So if one doesn't have a cold or covid it should be ok to not wear a muzzle, right?
