Americans are experiencing a wave of Witch Hunt syndrome, where everyone is going crazy about all the witches (aka racists) everywhere.
They feel like everyone is having all these racist encounters, but when they compare their own life experiences, their experiences come up short of news-worthy racist encounters. They feel certain that "the racism truly is all around them", but they just aren't encountering it, due to "bad luck". This makes them feel justified fabricating elaborate race hoaxes. After all, the're not really making it up, they're just "fixing" their "bad luck" that has prevented them from encountering it legitimately.
On and on it goes.
The more people read about the witches encountered by others, the more they're compelled to create them, feeding the cycle. It doesn't help that we have effectively glorified victimhood, which rewards the victim, encouraging them to lie. Everyone wants to contribute by catching a witch or 2.
People need to start viewing these perma-victims for what they are: weak and undeserving of respect.
"You got a single letter with some bullshit in it? Throw it away and go on with your day. What kind of loser gets all worked up over that?"
Meanwhile, the victimhood cult sees zero problems with their hate-campaigns that result in people getting fired and blacklisted from entire industries. You know, actual harm instead of some implied, incredulous threat.
