Warren Buffett bought airlines stocks in mid 2016. The best case is Buffett lost about 35% selling off all his shares of airlines stocks.
Track various data like passenger load factor (i.e., capacity utilization) and other available public data like TSA passenger throughput which is at 21% of last years level.
It bottomed to around 4% in April 2020.
Lets see if it steadily rises to 50% by end of this July.
From what I recall, passenger load factor needs to be around 65% for an airline flight to break even.
