“It does come with political peril,” said Assemblyman Evan Low, D-Campbell, who supported the bill but expressed concern that he’d received 99 calls in support from his constituents and more than 3,000 in opposition, many from the Asian-American community.

“It’s difficult to have race-neutral policies for very race-specific problems,” he said.

Latinos make up nearly 40 percent of the state’s 40 million residents, but represent less than 25 percent of the University of California’s 2019 fall enrollment. About 6 percent of Californians are African American, but at both UC and California State University, 4 percent of students are black.

The demographic disparities harm California’s economic progression, said Audrey Dow, senior vice president of the Campaign for College Opportunity, and exacerbate racial and socioeconomic inequities.

No, it's not difficult. race-neutral is naturally the simplest way to write law and policy. And, it's the fairest way.

No it doesn't. A forced diversity mix is likely worse than the natural outlay.

It's high time for Asians to start standing with Whites against this racist leftist mania.

UC Common Core for the RacenLumpen!

Maybe by the time they get them through Cal, they'll have the equivalent of the first two years of high school.

According to the CNN exit poll for 2016 election, 70% of Asians in California went for Clinton. 17% went for Trump.

By the way as far as college demographics:

28% of UCLA is Asian American, yet Asians make up 12% of California.

27% of UCLA is White, yet Whites make up 48% of California.

So will the reduce the % of whites even more at UCLA without affecting Asian Americans ? That is related to why I could never get an answer why Jesse Jackson never brought up that whites are underrepresented in Silicon Valley as well.

I copied and pasted that section and other sections from the article. Those were not my comments.

Remember, this article coincides with the recent article about UC System not requiring the SAT or ACT for admissions.

I suspect though Advanced Placement test scores and grades would be used by Asian Americans to try to put them ahead of minorities.

So to counterbalance that level of competition form Asian American candidates, the California Left which is 70% of the state, wants affirmative action to gurantee that 40% of UC students are Latinos/Hispanics.

Everybody gets in with substandard qualifications except the white devils. That's how it always works. To complain = racist.

Anyone that speaks out and is not anonymous will get crushed by the social justice mob.

Its about ensuring full compliance and ensuring resistance is futile. Its constant bullying and intimidation to accomplish their goals.

48% of California may be white, but I'll bet those figures are considerably different for college-age California residents. (By "white" I mean non-hispanic Caucasians.)

Oh, Booger, please, with respect, you are not covering enough of the bases. Do not limit your options. Where are things like "gender fluidity?" Maybe I just made that up, but why limit yourself to "woman?" Nobody can tell you what you are at any given time! Keep the options open.

As for "gay," that is also too limiting. How about something like "I flow with the energy that my body generates!" Keep it cryptic and stupid -- it always works!

This "black" stuff might be a problem. You may have to remove maybe 70% of your brain to pull that off convincingly.

36.6% are non-hispanic whites according to 2018 census estimation data in california

39% are hispanic of any race

Hence, 75.6% are hispanic and non-hispanic white in California

I suspect about 1/3 of the hispanics are more likely white such as appear more white than other races and are from South America and countries like Brazil. That is probably how they came up with the 48% of California is white in the CNN exit poll in 2016 election.

I am looking for the demographics by age and race / ethnicity in California.

Excellent choice. You also get in the lesbian dating pool, and lesbians with a cock-like "clit" are in high demand!

This is how France does it.

Race is never used in any government funded action, ever. Everyone is simply counted as French.

I'm considering escaping CA sooner than I'd planned. First taking my money and giving it to illegals and now reparations. It's the principle. Had a chat with a pal in Florida last night and I plan to use his place to do some scouting. He's on a barrier island somewhere not to far from NASA and works on weapons systems for military aircraft. He gets to blow shit up on the beach! It'll be a year at least given some other travel commitments I have.

That'll be the end of my biotech career but fuck it. It's filling up with SJweenies anyway. Perhaps I can pick up a SW Dev job in FL.

is an exit poll where they ask you who you voted for after you leave the booth and you tell them what you feel they want to hear so they will leave you alone? Like when a guy's wife asks him if she looks fat in a certain dress.

Brevard is well run and wonderful. If you live in Melbourne or Cocoa or Titusville, Orlando is an easy 1 hour commute each way.

You can swim in the ocean w/o a wetsuit in any season. If you love boating, jetskiing, or anything else beach related, you'll be in paradise.

Plenty of redneck seaside bars to eat Mahi Mahi and drink Beer. Nicer places as well. Thai, Italian, and Chinese. Few if any Vegan establishments.

Publix Supermarkets bag and bring your groceries, tipping is forbidden (But I do it anyway to encourage American work ethic)

Our Hispanics are high quality Cubans, not Death Worshipers who talk like they're constipated.

Pretty solid Republican congressional district. Lower sales tax and no income tax. There's a classic ed charter school run by Hillsdale College.

I was thinking more along the lines of someday moving to the Jacksonville area. My reasoning being the (in relative terms) lack of direct hits from hurricanes and lack of sinkholes.

I sometimes check out Florida on Zillow.com . The pictures are nice, but Zillow doesn't give you a feel for the heat, humidity, and bugs. Still, a $1MM place right on the beach could work if you figure out something for the hot 1/2 of the year.

Yep, and Brevard doesn't get hit much, either. Once you're north of Indian River the chances go way down, or it's a glancing hit. I don't think there's been a hurricane force winds in Brevard since 1979, only under 75mph.

Bugs aren't bad on the coast due to the breezes. It's when people think they're saving a bundle by moving 5 miles away from the coast/intercoastal and end up prisoners of their lanai. The heat and humidity does stink for 3-4 months, but that's 80% of the US East of the Rockies.

Get an RV or AirBNB and fart around America during the Summer. There are nice things about the Florida Summer though, and that is empty beaches and restaurants and stores, and often good deals since it's the off season.

One thing you'll never see in Florida is dirty needles, human feces, or bums/thugs being coddled.

Sincerely,

Brevard Growth Committee
