The streets of San Jose erupted in violence in front of City Hall on Friday May 29, 2020. Protestors were throwing glass bottles at the police. One officer was injured. News reports from The Chronicle and local KTVU station said the police fired rubber bullets at the crowd. When I heard that, I hopped on my e-bike and headed downtown, hoping to avoid getting shot, I would play it safe and take no chances, while getting what footage I could. To say I wasn’t a little apprehensive would be a lie.
fuck the protesters and fuck the police. The only people they protect and serve is themselves when they aren't acting like a nuanced group of thugs. And to the protesters, the guy is being charged with murder what the fuck else do you want? Oh you just want to smash shit and loot, got it. I guess this is what happens when large numbers of people don't have a job to go to in the morning.
