I've got a reminder set. I've seen a couple SpaceX launches from Vanderberg all the way down here in San Diego. The night launch was amazing.

Are there still Musk haters at Patrick.net?

I'm not. Not that I don't care, but life is so much easier catching things later instead of watching live. I don't even watch sporting events that I'm interested in live anymore. I actually don't even know what I watch live anymore besides stumbling upon it myself or at someone else's house.

I like the messaging. I suspect Elon had a hand in it - he's been talking about red pills lately and this message (and event) jives well w/ MAGA.

Elon Musk is an "African-American." Yay!

Looks like they are postponing Musk's planned bomb detonation.

What a bummer, kids and I were all watching.

What's your plan you are going to tell the kids, when it goes Boom on us.
I would get within a 1 mile of anything Musk makes it either crashes or explodes, he even made a flame thrower. A very ominous choice of one off gadgets for him to make. Given his track record after his flame thrower exposition.

I don't see that happening though I suspect Moscow and Beijing trolls are hoping it happens.

This guy has detonated a lot of free donated tax paid hardware. Obama gave him outright after he shut down NASA.
He promised an electric car in every garage, while he focused more on his Fireworks hobby. He never could deliver a cost effective car to the masses, because his fireworks displays took too much resources.

You don't need to be a Russian or Chinese Troll, to know America got Screwed royally by Obama and his green cronies.

You know Musk would have hit the button. Or Gene Kranz or Chris Kraft for that matter. NASA is so risk adverse.

Saturday is just a few days away.

Meanwhile, enjoy some rocket landing porn courtesy of Elon to tide us over.

I'd be scared just riding in a Musk self-driving car or trucklet. I personally saw the the immolation on 101 south near google. Still, it's a heck of a way to go out!

Yep - and Tesla just dropped their prices yesterday on the 3, S and X models. I am holding out for the Y next year when the lease on my Bolt is up.

A Tesla for $45K will cost me less over 4 years compared to a $28K Hyundai Sonata when you factor in the gas and maintenance savings. Tesla no longer gets any Federal Subsidies either.

120mph is (120x5250)/(3600) =175 feet per second . Given that 1G is 32 feet/sec/sec then
175/32= 5.46 Gs of acceleration needed to achieve 240mph in 2 seconds.
That’s a little less than the SpaceX Falcon produces, so totally possible!
