The emergency Safer-at-Home orders in Los Angeles County that have humbled the economy and pressed the pause button on daily life will “with all certainty” be extended for another three months, Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer told the county Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, May 12.

“There’s no way (to open earlier) unless there’s a dramatic change in this virus and the tools that we have on hand to actually fight against this virus,” Ferrer said.

That the health-officer order, set to expire on Friday, May 15, would be revised and extended was hardly a surprise, as officials have been outlining repeatedly a phased approach toward fully reopening the economy. That the order could last until August, however, had not yet been stated publicly.

We wouldn't expect anything less from the Conservators of Panic.

This is why we need a republican house. They're all counting on a huge allotment of cash for govt employees to cover everything

This makes me so angry.
It seems that people really have lost their damn minds.
Otherwise intelligent people I know are hiding in their homes, secure in their stay at home jobs, happy to continue like this forever and deathly afraid of a virus that is less deadly than the flu.
What a bunch of cunts.

I don't mind working from home, though I would rather not.

I don't like the fact that some people are trying to push a new normal where restaurants, bars, concerts, and sports, anywhere a personal "safe space" can't be maintained, are no longer going to be allowed.

Fact is, this is not about safety, it's about control.

If that’s what it’ll take to completely decimate their economy then so be it!

Nobody is forcing them to go to the office. Google has extended WFH till the end of the year. MS and Oracle are following suit, AFAIK.

I think the operative term has changed from "Public Health _____" (fill in the blanks) anything to "Confirmed, Bribed Lobbyist Co-Conspirator".

So the mainstream media fucking strikes again. I’m listening to AM 640 right now...the Conway show, and apparently the county doctor was talking about a separate issue and taken entirely out of context.

There’s not going to be three more months of shutdown.

Assassinating Fauci would probably save a hundred lives at least for every life legitimately lost by Covid.

And yet millions of people were ready to comply.

Wife and I both are still working but all the fucking up shit by left is making my wife bring up bailing more and more. CA is self destructing.

This is all an effort by the Democrats with their ChiCom conspirators to try to take down the economy right before the election this year. This is their coup or impeachment against Trump. They don't mind to cut their noses to spite their faces if it means Trump will lose the election.

They forgot that they need a good candidate that is FOR something. Not just AGAINST Trump and American exceptionalism..

So they are keeping it locked down?

"the more our communities continue to comply the sooner we can resume normalcy"

Understand that they can’t keep it locked down. The leftist ninnies in the nicer areas will clench their pearls and crap, but the hood has already been on a rampage, and the blue collar Hispanics that live in the SF Valley, East LA, mid city, and so forth will be next. They can talk all they want but the majority of the city will be open in 1-2 weeks no matter what.

In Houston, they did not dare to shut down construction, because otherwise our Progressive city leadership would have a Hispanic riot on hand...hope this will change way how CA Hispanics vote.

I haven't noticed that anything more noble than the most immediate and palpable petty advantage ever motivates LibbyFuck voters.

The Royal LibbyFucks forebrains tell them they will be in charge forever, their voter base don't have forebrains, just agitprop mimicry circuits and emotional reactivity.
