Next time open a new industry in the heartland.

California is actively undermining its own tax base without much reason.

The entire state has TDS. Unbelievable.

First of all, no one should have an operation in Kalifornia.

It makes no sense ... a high tax state with what? Seriously, if one didn't grow up there, why are you there?

You can't tell me that transplanted workers, from the other 49 states, who're expected to work 70+ hr weeks, are taking advantage of some hokey culture in the region.

Sorry ppl, but that's the east coast, at least Boston was that, before the lockdown, along with a miriad of small college towns like Burlington VT, Ann Arbor MI, Austin TX, etc.

At best, these workers are using their limited free time to sleep and run errands and pay high rents in places where they don't spend any time, anyways.

There is reason.

Its the Democrats effort to destroy the economy enough to damage Trump's reelection chances.

Then Biden (and his female VP) will get elected, and by June 2021 the mainstream media will praise Biden for stopping the pandemic and saving the economy.

Ok, but like back in 2016, why are they focusing on a region, CA, which always votes Democratic? It's already a given that it'll go blue, regardless of the candidate.

The same for places like Massachusetts, New York, & DC.

If you want to create a disruption, focus in on Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio.

The only people I know living in the Bay Area (who aren’t natives with families) are H1Bs who don’t know any better and are required to live there by their company as a condition of their visa.

It’s insane. California has become the modern day southern plantation state. The wealthy investor class that lives in the area limits housing so that the only people willing to live in the area are modern day slaves working 70+ hours a week under threat of deportation under H1B visa rules to support their impoverished family back home. Any small amount of actual physical goods they produce they manufacture in China or Vietnam or whatever country is offering the lowest priced slaves. All the while they lecture the rest of us about what racist fools we are for voting for Trump.

Every day there isn’t a violent bloody revolution in this country boggles my mind.

They’re doing a pretty good job fucking up Michigan last I checked.

I think they are fucking up all the blue states as much as possible because their is little political risk and it all adds to the general chaos.

I think the moment I realized how evil the Democrats were in this whole crisis was when the reporter asked Cuomo about the NY policy of forcing nursing homes to take COVID patients and he claimed to be unaware.

There is literally 1 thing that ever liberal and conservative person agree about with the current situation and that is we need to protect the elderly.

Its so obvious and the idea that no one ever brought up to Cuomo at a meeting that maybe COVID positive patients shouldn’t be in nursing homes is insane.

Which means that Cuomo and all the other liberal governors that didn’t restrict nursing homes from covid 19 patients were doing it deliberately and the only reason I can think of for that is to drive death counts.

Fucking evil.

Almost always. CA did vote for Reagan, I know that was long time ago. Shwartsneger also won governorship here.

But outside of that, big cities are trained to vote blue, even teachers here tell students early on to vote blue. It’s hell lot of propaganda here.

When my hedge fund was looking to build out a 2nd stateside backoffice ... our target was Ann Arbor Michigan because one, there was a plethora of college students and graduates who could work there and two, we wouldn't have to pay top east coast, Boston-to-NYC like salaries, to build out a group which could service our clients in the same timezone.

If my friend didn't finish his degree and leave Univ of Michigan, it would have happened.

Aside from let's say Anchorage Alaska or Cheyenne Wyoming, California was the last place we wanted to move to.

Houston in summer has the same climate as a really busy laundromat.
