FAKE GRASSROOTS ‘REOPEN’ PROTEST MOVEMENT

By jazz_music follow jazz_music   2020 May 1, 11:40am 1,220 views   80 comments   watch   nsfw   quote   share

Polling shows that just 12% of Americans think their local restrictions have gone too far – and 26% think they don’t go far enough

... most of the web domains that had been registered around the idea of “reopening” the economy belonged to a very small number of people. He used a cybersecurity search tool to search for “any and all domains registered in the past month that begin with "reopen” and end in “.com.” He found that many of them were created on the same day.

He found that many of these websites, whose registration records you can see yourself at Whois.com, were owned by anti-gun-control groups that are run by the same family of brothers that organized the demonstrations through Facebook groups they run.

Several others of the “reopen” websites were registered with addresses or phone numbers used by longstanding conservative enterprises like Freedom Works.

HARRISBURG, Pa./DETROIT (Reuters) - Republican politicians and individuals affiliated with President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign are organizing or promoting anti-lockdown protests across key electoral battleground states

In Michigan, the organizers of last week's rally against Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer's stay-at-home order aimed at combating the coronavirus pandemic are involved in the Republican president's re-election effort

Several of the main organizers of the Lansing, Michigan, protest that police estimated drew about 4,000 people have ties to the Trump campaign, and are deeply involved in state Republican politics

All laid out in the video attached.

Very impressively too backed by federal intelligence and investigative enforcement agencies, UNANIMOUSLY

Our intelligence agencies are nothing but a group of liars. This is an example of our intelligence agencies:

If you met me in 2007, I would be a "liberal" to you because I hated that bastard George W. Bush with a passion and his entire administration and the pathetic lackey republican congress that gave the dishonorable scumbag liar a free pass for lying the country into a war.

That was before Black ReBush became president, and did the same thing and the Democratic congress was more concerned with "gay marriage", and "a national discussion on transgendered bathrooms" than stopping all these stupid wars.

You can change minds, it just takes time - @jazz_music just still has belief in the parties. I don't.

In 2005, at least there was the outlet of the Daily Show calling out the most ridiculous lies of the Bush administration, but that was the ONLY NEWS on American teevee. Today, there's nothing. Remember when Fox News tried to make a "conservative" Daily Show type thing and it crashed and burned? They could do it today and be successful because the Democrats are complete liars.

Unless we smash the establishment of both parties, it's just going to reverse again, and 10-15 years later, you'll think I'm a flaming liberal idiot because I don't believe in some bullshit war the Republican Current President lied us into.

He beat Hillary Clinton and the media tells me to hate him. Also the intelligence agencies, that I suddenly trust for some reason, tell me he's bad. Certainly the group of fucks that did Operation Ajax, Operation PBSuccess, tried to do Operation Northwoods, Project MKUltra, and lied us into Iraq, Libya and Syria, can be trusted.

Golly, I'm so damned dumb, that it couldn't be possible that the media, the intelligence agencies, the leadership of both of these shit parties, could be lying to the entire country, could it? Gee whiz, that's just unthinkable. We live in a dumbocracy don't we? I'm told this every day, over and over and over and over and over again - they wouldn't do that unless it was absolutely true. Why, it couldn't just be propaganda, or they'd be using repetitive propaganda techniques. Clearly that's not being done!

It was fake. It was just used by the Republicans to stop Obama from running up the deficit, putting more people to work, and getting credit for it.

When Trump lowered taxes, increased spending, increased the deficit, and put more people to work; there were no Tea Party voices against it.

So, yes, the Tea Party was faked.

Hell, I’m liberal in many ways. I don’t care if the state licensed gays to marry, I think weed and certain other drugs should be legalized, I am pro-Labor, and I take the libertarian side of any government restriction: if it’s not hurting anyone else why ban it?

Political leaning is one thing. Brainwashed idiocy is another.

I don't see the point in posting anywhere without at least considering you might be wrong but I'll give you something to be cautious about:

Never consider somebody you disagree with "stupid", "insane", "dumb", or anything like that. Even somebody that has no ability to communicate with you because they are foaming at the mouth doesn't mean they are incorrect, it may be they are correct, but have been brainwashed into being correct. That DOES happen.

What does "liberal" even mean these days? I think you're probably like me - practical. I'm in Commiefornia, it's ridiculous to worry about who is sleeping with whom, it's stupid to waste time on prohibition for weed. Labor is absolutely essential, and it's really morally unfair to force American workers to compete against slave labor in China. I'm not exactly libertarian - I consider that a naive system. In "libertarianism" you can do anything except violate the rights of another person - well, whose going to stop some thug from violating the rights of another person? Not the government. It's a nice ideal, but it's a fantasy just like communism is.

Trump's staff is doing persistent damage quietly behind his circus, eliminating anything the government is involved with that brings benefit to the electorate. That much is huge and devastating in and of itself, the GOP neoliberal/libertarian agenda implementation that would surely bring about an uprising if it were widely known.

However

Trump's removal of controls on nuclear arms is begging Russia to meet our forces with another iteration of the horrendous mass destruction arms race. His excuse for not entering into a new agreement is that he requires China to be involved in the agreement but that is just a trick to foster the desired expansion of military weaponry. China's nuclear capabilities are minuscule compared to USA and Russia.

Trump's policy on climate crisis is suicide. Let's have some fun and make money while we are rocketing our planet to a state of uninhabitability. Let's reward the fossil fuel industry with subsidies and special breaks.

The last two areas listed above are so misguided that either one of them can put an end to human life. People don't adequately understand the perils and the great miracle it has been that we have survived thus far without a major nuclear disaster.

These unfortunate misuses of governmental powers constitutes a theft of the future and the younger generation must start asserting their strengths to prevent these multiple disasters.

The neoliberal era is the real problem here, not Trump. Trump is merely a face, a show, there will be worse than him if we all remain silent and stay on the sidelines.

We are America. We matter, the 0.1% does not matter, they need to step down and be exposed for the plague that they have caused with their powers to corrupt and steal.

I feel like I stated these policies over and over again over my years commenting here at patrick.net.

I really have not changed

I have struggled to discern truth from lies so that I know what I know and I know what I don't know.

I'm telling you that the truth is knowable. You cannot reject the existence of the truth and say that nothing matters anyway except the price per share of your speculations.

Truth matters, it matters and holds immeasurable importance.

We have responsibilities to each other.

There's no truth coming from Trump, he'll reverse whatever he says soon as he sees some chance of persuading some group of people to join his pursuit of greatness which is secretly showering money on the 0.1%, the fossil fuel industry and the arms industry.

For the camera he will broadcast some grand gestures for the populace, promising them the fulfillment of each and every need they cry out for. And then off camera the massive betrayals continue.

People who feel their own status under threat by a duly elected president who did not attend an Ivy League school explains a lot.

Not only was Trump elected against the wishes of the elite and elitists, he has been doing an excellent job with the economy (until the Wuhan virus) and in keeping us out of new wars.

This makes the whole public aware that credentialism is a sham. And lots of people have dedicated decades of their lives to getting elitist credentials. That must be painful.

So your objections to Trump's policies are:

1. removal of controls on nuclear arms
2. not doing enough about global warming

Never heard about the first one. What controls did Trump remove?

For the second, yes, Trump does seem to be encouraging US coal production, and did withdraw from the Paris Climate Accord. Those are big cans of worms and we could debate them a long time. It doesn't seem all that black and white to me.

What controls did Trump remove?
Trump is expanding American military presence around the world as he reduces America's support of NATO. He withdrew from the intermediate range nuclear treaty with Russia and the nuclear deal we had with Iran also putting sanctions against Iran too. Under Trump a new type of nuclear weapon has been developed, mass produced and deployed on submarines. At the same time Trump has claimed the ability to do whatever he chooses, he is showing factual ignorance of nuclear weapons every 83 seconds as he speaks. Trump is trying to arm the Saudis with nukes too. Naturally, the world is reacting to this bravado by building up their weapons in retaliation.

So the doomsday clock is closer to midnight than it has ever been now, reflecting the world danger of annihilation as assessed by the atomic science community.
