Etiquette

Our goal is to get our message out in a positive and safe manner.

We want to be taken seriously. We will be judged by our attitudes, sign presentation and dress.

We will be wearing RED, WHITE & BLUE colored shirts at the march. That way we know each other and stand united.

Please be prepared for people who may not be in agreement with us. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and so are we. Please remember that our response needs to be positive not confrontational. The world will be watching and in order to be taken seriously and respected we must be respectful.

We DO NOT CONDONE the use of force or violence by anyone IN WORDS OR ACTIONS. Anyone committing violent acts is disavowed by WE THE PEOPLE and the FULLY OPEN CA movement. They are plants and/or are acting independently and should be treated as such and not affiliated with this movement. If you see someone acting violently, immediately move yourself and group/s away from them. Isolate them away from others and get law enforcement.

Important!

All people are required to maintain CDC guidelines for prevention. Following Best practice.

Social distancing from non-family members means you need to stand 6’ apart. 2 arm lengths away from each other.

We are leaving wearing masks or cloth face coverings up to your discretion.

If you are sick or high risk please stay at home and quarantine.

Media

Each location will have a spokesperson to talk to the media.

We must be prepared for what will be said to the media so our message is clearly communicated. Words can be taken out of context and become damaging.

We understand sometimes it’s hard to find the words so we will be helping by giving you highlights and answers to general questions to help you with people who ask what this moment is all about. Here is a sample statement:

We are demanding that Newsom FULLY REOPEN CALIFORNIA NOW.

We demand our rights are restored.

We have the right to work and we can do so while exercising preventative safety measures.

We CANNOT SURVIVE this shutdown any longer.

People have been stripped of their rights to freedom of religion. They have no right to shut us down from our churches. The right to practice your religion free from government interference is absolutely essential freedom to every person. This government overreach violates 1st amendment rights and WE WON’T STAND FOR IT!

I'll be there, Patrick. I'm protesting because my friend is on a two-week waitlist for kidney stone surgery due to Newsom's orders to just let hospitals treat only coronavirus patients.

That's insane. Your friend should sue the state. Good luck!

And note that the hospitals are mostly empty:

https://www.businessinsider.com/doctors-san-francisco-bay-area-hospitals-flattened-curve-eerie-quiet-2020-4

Doctors at three Bay Area hospitals described an "eerie" quiet...

"We expected right now to be some version of what was happening in New York, and instead what we've been left with is a hospital that's about half-empty," Dr. Jahan Fahimi, the medical director of the ER at the University of California San Francisco, told Business Insider. ...

San Francisco has reported just 1,400 coronavirus cases (though the actual number is probably higher because of early limits in testing capacity). Emergency rooms have plenty of beds and ventilators. Doctors are taking time off, or flying to New York to help there.

The flood of cases they feared never came.

"When you're walking through the halls of the hospital, it feels a little bit eerie at times," Dr. Sam Shen, a physician in Stanford's emergency department...

Stanford had not tapped into its backup store of supplies. Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital has even seen a small drop in COVID-19 patients, with 20 or so in the hospital at any given time. ...

The ER is unusually empty, he added, so they sent 12 physicians and eight nurses to New York City.

Looks like the protests have been effective in Michigan:

Michigan House doesn’t extend virus emergency order amid protests

Apr 30, 2020 5:08 PM EDT

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — The Republican-led Michigan House refused Thursday to extend the state’s coronavirus emergency declaration and voted to authorize a lawsuit challenging Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s authority and actions to combat the pandemic.

The step came as hundreds of conservative activists, including some who were openly carrying guns, returned to the Capitol to denounce her stay-at-home order. ...

Some angry protesters — many without face coverings — entered the Capitol and demanded to be let onto the House floor, which is not allowed. The gallery was closed to the public to allow room for representatives and reporters to spread apart. Several demonstrators in the Senate gallery were openly carrying guns, which is legal in the Statehouse. One state senator said the armed men shouted at her, and several senators wore bulletproof vests for protection.

And it does seem appropriate to openly carry guns in the Michigan Statehouse as a demonstration that the Constitution is still in effect, no matter what Gov. Whitmer thinks.

The 2nd Amendment exists precisely to protect us from government overreach.

I'll be happy if the legislature does anything of that sort in our state given the democratic supermajority.
13   Patrick   2020 May 1, 8:23am

Bump.

Please come to this if you are in the bay area.
14   anonymous   2020 May 1, 8:27am

Our Dress Rehearsal for a Police State: "The federal, state, county and city governments are now restricting almost every freedom except those of travel" Ah, no, the Right to Travel is being infringed on big time. No. 4: Snitches. should also include public shaming. I have seen numerous examples decrying 'idiots' etc for people exercising their rights as if no contrary opinion could exist.
I too am concerned "The reason I believe this is a dress rehearsal is that too many Americans appear untroubled by it; the dominant force in America, the left, supports it, and one of the two major political parties has been taken over by the left. Democrats and their supporters have, in effect, announced they will use state power to enforce any law they can to combat the even greater "existential" crisis of global warming."
If anything, the abuses of freedom and double standard applied by democrats to 'their rapist', Joe Biden, have made me contemplate the previously inconceivable, voting for Trump.

I think the precautions need to be taken against the Politburos and Stasi's. Coronavirus ain't even a thing.
