I recall they released and confirmed some ufo vids maybe 2-4 years ago, and the vid you linked was one of them. I'm not sure yet what is new (edit - I guess now its official, previously it was leaked)

There was also a handful of news stories on it when they orig released them. Some of them were pretty interesting, especially the commercial airline pilots that happened to report seeing them too.

Dude, that thing was rotating like somebody was manipulating an object in AutoCAD, in winds of 100+ knots (0:29).

The HUD system is highlighting the object, so this isn't lens flare or suchlike. Additionally, it looks like IR is on, so like the Waco BS excuse, IR doesn't shine visible light anyway.

Both pilots (at least two) are watching the same thing from two different aircraft, so the odds of it being a glitch on the FLIR or whatever is non-existent.

Back in the 90s, people were going apeshit for this stuff. I don't know if we just have a new generation of people who were inherintly more open minded, so this isn't particulary shocking to them. For me, I am delighted to be alive to have the question finally settled.

Just look at all of the uses for Gyroscopes that we use in hover boards, segways, and other items.

It would not be that difficult with the current technology to have a finless, wingless capsule shaped like a tic tac, with a propulsion engine on one side, that can swivel and rotate a full half sphere to keep it balanced, hovering or going in a direction.

Such a craft could turn on a dime at any speed, and if there is a propulsion at both ends, it could also change direction instantaneously.

There would be some technical challenges but it could be done with the current technology.

I think people have been conditioned to be reserved about this topic. If you get all excited and believe it's real, many will call you a looney fool for believing there's 2 paper plates stapled together and hung from a string. And, it's a topic that has been proven to be a timeless goal of fooling people, because its a topic people that sparks their imagination, so they want it to be real. And, many know from seeing movies that modern video editing / rendering capabilities can make truly anything look real

I'll say it again though - a few years back when these vids first hit the news, there was a decent amount written on them. Just like today, it was as if most people/news outlets didn't really believe it, as big MSM didn't seem to cover it much, but smaller more niche news outlets did, and there was some very interesting content. I encourage people to look deeper if you're interested. There's more videos, and some of them are longer clips of the same video. And, there's lots of info documenting and corroborating the events. There's even interviews with one of the navy who was there, maybe it was a pilot or a radio operator.

If I recall, these vids and accounts came out around the time when they defunded the govt agency that was created to investigate this stuff. It made me think the info release was done to pique public interest, which might cause calls for new funding, saving the dept. Then again, if I worked in that govt dept, and saw stuff that made me feel it was real, I too would feel it my duty to secure renewed funding.

I mean, out of all the claimed sightings, when has the military actually ever said that? Rosewell is literally the last time the military confirmed a UFO story to the media.

Yes, if you reread my post, that is the point. It is a confirmed UFO video. It is open as to whether it is terrestrial or extraterrestrial. The settled science is that UFOs, whatever they are, exist.

Years back, a few weeks after I saw the vids come out, I asked various coworkers what they thought, and none of them had heard about it. It just didn't reach their news or social circles.

I really hope over the next months that we'll get to learn more about it.

I think we can rule this option out since the military specifically said that this footage didn’t contain anything sensitive.

The aliens are just keeping tabs on us. If you consider the perspective of a galactic civilization, it must be both exciting and interesting when a new species of sentient life gets close to breaking out of its planetary box and becoming eligible for galactic citizenship. Of course, every nation’s citizenship comes with responsibilities. Let’s hope that the demands our alien overlords put on we lowly humans are not too onerous and that we are able to meet them.

Otherwise we could be looking at the expungement of the human race, and they re-roll with a new species. Maybe the dolphins or the bears could be coaxed to sentience over a few hundred thousand years.
