While Cuomo was bloviating that there are no cases in NY the pandemic already struck a big enough chunk to provide sufficient herd immunity going forward. With the ease of summer infection rates will go down and by the next season easily 30%+ should have been be exposed, thus making hospital care for the rest manageable. Leftoids - Stop the stupid lock-down and open up ion a controller manner now! Don't let your destroy your local economy. The blood of economic hardship, suicide, depression and drug use is on your hands.

Any remaining elderly who haven’t had it yet can live or die as Darwin demands. The stupid and the stubborn can take their risks going out in public early. The smart will continue to distance and survive. Honestly tho Darwinian evolution has nothing to do with it as the elderly are long past their useful evolutionary function.

No it is 13.9%. Yes it is much higher than document cases, but that still means close tp 200K deaths in NY. . Another 180K deaths to go, so the pandemic is still there.

No it's up to 25% - AB != virus test.

Just wear your mask if you're worried and you'll be fine!

LOL! That's what will happen if the lock-down continue for a long time. One of the reasons why assisted living facilities saw 5000% higher death rate than the outside population is that the people in those facilities are partially isolated from the rest of the population most of the time, not kept up to date on the latest Corona-virus mutations in the society, then when a person carrying virus with the latest deadly mutations enter the facility they tend to stay and settle in (new arrival or workers working the full day or extended shifts), resulting in high viral load at first exposure for the rest of the population there. This is exactly the opposite of normal social contexts, where people meet briefly in relatively open venues, so people get to swap viruses (and immunity packages) at low viral load, giving normal people good opportunities to adapt to new virus mutations and keep up-to-date on the arms race between virus mutations vs. human immune systems.

The classic historical case of isolation leading to pandemic disaster was the native tribes of the Americas when the Spaniard Conquestadors arrived: the native tribes were practically "ideally" locked-down (by the wide ocean span called the Atlantic) and never had exposure to the contagious diseases, then as soon as the Spaniards arrived carrying the contagious diseases, the epidemiologicaly "naive" population was almost entirely wiped out (some tribes and villages were indeed entirely wiped out, especially the ones that made first contacts).
