It's a good idea.

For everyone who lost their job during this (proof being that they are legally eligible for unemployment), give them three months of non-payment on mortgages now in exchange for a three month longer loan period. Tack it on at the end like Vic said.

If Trump announced 2 million new single family homes, that would shut the banks up.

The last thing they would want is millions of houses on the books, they foreclosed on, that would be worth less than 1/3 - 1/2 of what they had the homeowner on the hook for.

It's a cash flow issue though. Almost every business is 30-60 days from collapse if cash stops coming in. The restaurant landscape is going to be forever changed after this. I'd guess 20-40% of restaurants are out of business soon, if not already. The dominos are falling and it's what "they" wanted because of one fucking person they didn't like.

We'll recover, but this is fucking up a lot of people that are good, hard working Americans over politics and the media is driving it. We have a virus going around, without a vaccine, killing less people than the flu that HAS a vaccine. Everyone needs to think about that. Reality and others (Mell?) have also posted on the UV effect. This will statistically dwindle regardless of any government efforts and then reappear in the fall. We can't stop it even with a vaccine. It's a new virus. Hospitals aren't overwhelmed. This is a joke at this point.

Restaurants are closing left and right. Three twins ice cream just closed. The ripple effects go way beyond restaurants. This is economic warfare at this point on the working class. We have more tests than needed in SF and added. 20 cases or less than 2 percent. Soon people fully recovering after 2 weeks will outnumber new cases everyday til active cases are back in the hundreds for a million people county. What are we waiting for?! Open now.

It's sad. Most of those employees are already kind of on the edge anyway financially and emotionally. It's not a fun industry for most and is basically a last resort to get money. And yes young people too that can crash back at mom and dad's house. But they won't get a big enough UE check because of cash tips regardless of the extra $600. This is going to turn into a mental health holocaust if we extend much past May 1st. And there will be physical rebellion/rioting as well.

We're not meant to live this way. I'm sorry your mom or grandma may die during this, but the alternative is substantially worse. Open up.

Right we walked by a local wine bar yesterday and they have signs up begging for support while selling wine at the front door with gloves and mask. Their staff has beenet go with the 2 owners left. They have a large room, likely expensive rent, they could easily host 2 groups of 5 at anytime where the tables would still be 20 ft apart. We bought a bottle for $32 to support them but it will be hard for them to make it through this. It's not just and stepping on their constitutional rights.

That's quite the rant. I don't think I've ever seen that much spit fly from someone's mouth while yelling, dashboard must be drenched. Thought he was going to suffer a heart attack by the end of it.

He's right though, and everyone should be as angry as he is about this and so many other government/banking/corporate looting schemes.
