Really I don't think this should be politicized. It's easy to say with hindsight that earlier would have been better, and another thing to make decisions with limited data.

How does forbidding people from buying seeds keep hospitals from being overwhelmed?

We didn't see the clamor anywhere from experts on social distancing. The earliest person to act was the administration and too much hoopla over racist border closings. Should Trump have acted earlier? Absolutely. This caught everyone by surprise. You know, I wish he did ask for social distancing measures in Feb. Because it would have been amusing to watch the liberal backlash about how that's stupid and how he's stupid.

He's trying to get fired, he has from day one, his sole purpose is to contradict Trump, either until he has amassed enough CNN soundbites documenting Trump's deficiencies through his undermining everything Trump says, which he gets from Actual field Doctors, unlike Dr. Frauduci.
His job now is to talk behind his back on CNN, if this doesn't work by Tuesday he will be leaking confidential conversations to NYT. He will do this until he gets fired. So Schiff can use him as a material witness. Without out Trump invoking executive privilege.

I'ts the only play book these Phony Cock Suckers know, they are as obviously predictable as a Rap lyric.

If i know the epidemiological models and how they work, and that social distancing is bogus, how come Fauci doesn't?

He does, he just doesn't follow policy that adheres to them. Prolong the fear, the superstition, the lockdown and the pandemic, Rah!

Fauci has a job to do, and it has nothing to do with public health or saving lives. He is the face of the Propaganda Politburo.

Dr Frauduci is a professional grant applicant and nothing more.

Fauci said: “millions of deaths” , “200,000 deaths” “100,000 deaths”
My favorite: “I don’t need to wear a mask.”

Not allowing flights into the USA would have saved more lives, but they gave Trump shit over it.

Masks as effective as social distancing in the Czech Republic.

Fauci like a lot of short people likes to be the center of attention.

As late as March 8th, merely a week before the nation-wide lock-downs, Fauci was only recommending people with underlying conditions (especially elderly) not to get on to cruise ships, while not discouraging healthy young people from getting onto cruise ships.

At the end of January, when Trump decided to quarantine people who had in the previous 14 days traveled through China, the Democrats were calling him racist. Restricting carriers traveling from foreign hot-zones before infections become widespread in this country made sense; internal/domestic lock-down "social-distancing" makes no sense whatsoever: as locking down the society while not locking down the hospitals and nursing homes only give the most deadly mutations of the genetically unstable RNA virus an evolutionary advantage over the more benign mutations that don't send people into hospitals (where the virus would have more opportunity to spread than would be in a locked-down society). Not to mention, a lock-down has no Constitutional basis whatsoever: an eminent domain taking would require government to compensate the locked-down businesses and individuals at fair-market value for losses. They are using the fuzzy word "social-distancing" as a way to wiggle out of the Unconstitutional nature of those lock-down orders.

The dems really screwed the pooch on this one. Instead of screaming racism and xenophobia, they should have just said "too little too late" and they could have marched to the victory line. You can't rewrite history now. Trump was late on his prudent decisions, and the dems would have delayed those decisions further if they got their way.

OP and comment 1. Unedited. I have no interest in looking up your previous history here, as I do think you're a long timer. But it's pretty clear you're trolling on this topic now. You contradict yourself before you've even let anyone else comment. What was the point of the post and the above comment?

You make all previous comments basically null in my mind by posting this. You've attempted, with little to no success, to show that this virus is some awful thing. It's not and won't be besides the economic hit we're going to take.

This is what is dangerous and what people should be trying to prevent: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/health/nursing-homes-deaths-soar-past-2600-in-alarming-surge

Instead we shut everyone down that can handle the flu, even if it's an extreme version for people that are actually symptomatic. There's no disputing this. 70-80% of the entire population is more likely to die from dozens of other things versus Covid at an exponential level.

Again, not one logical argument has been brought forward as to why we just don't shut down the old and weak and stop visiting them instead of what's going on now.

I'll let another moderator take care of this. I'm not certain what in my comment was personal or should have been flagged. At some point the poster of a topic is the topic when they blatantly contradict themselves. Note I have not addressed a user in this comment.
