Their only complaint was that he wouldn't practice safe social distancing !?!?
For all the other judgments you might make, ultimately this outcome comes down to just really bad luck, that they were dealing with a kid that was a sick psychopath.
I cant say for sure w/ the details I found, but it seems like the daughter was at least somewhat ok with this outcome. She certainly told her BF about the money so that they could rob them, which isnt a good sign, although not totally horrible. But, her reaction to the murder, in a text to him was "why would you put me in this position" but it should have been something like "how could you do this to me you fucking monster?!"
So, sounds like she didnt love her parents, and probably didnt really care if they lived or died. She recently got booted out of their house, and so their usefulness to her had expired. She was more concerned with how she was destined towards police interrogation and having to decide between lying for him, vs ratting him out to save herself - as evidence by her saying "you put me in this position".
I don't know how many years these foster parents took care of her for, but that's pretty cold. I wonder what the relationship between her and her parents was like.
Who the fuck names their daughter Mimi. They were just asking for it.
Adopted AND the wife didn't take her husbands nameShe was a college professor after all, what else would you expect? SJW to the core.
Who the fuck names their daughter Mimi. They were just asking for it.
dating their adopted daughter Mimi
I predict: in 1-2 yrs, the daughter will be interviewed from prison, where she's attempting to lobby the sympathies of the gullible.
I don't know how many years these foster parents took care of her for
Parenting has changed. I cannot imagine a parent allowing a high school senior daughter to have her high school boyfriend come live with them.

They have severe mental illness issues.
doormat parents
BTW Madison was one of the safest places in universe 15 yrs ago - a murder only every 2-3 years. I wonder if it has changed these days.
The child was a torture chamber. They spent fortunes on shrinks and remedial schools, all to no avail. They were physically threatened from the time the kid was old enough to threaten.
one of my best friends father adopted 3 children after he turned 5....all from the same parents. The girl was 6 at the time. The two brothers were 2 and 1. His 3 biological children were all smart and live upstanding lives. They all received the same upbringing. The girl ran away at 16 and got pregnant. The two brothers have been in and out of prison since age 18. They have severe mental illness issues. When you adopt, you are playing the genetic lottery.
A couple of "fine young men" who were just getting their lives together.
