too bad. Even though he is a socialist, he was a minor thorn in side of D establishment.

I think the status quo always needs to be challenged and I kind of agree with what you say. But Bernie would have been an unmitigated disaster for our country. The fact he's even a Senator having one of the top position in all of government? Dude needs to retire. WTF do people work at almost 80 years old anyway??? Go spend time with the grandkids. You can't take your cash or power with you when you're dead.

He was never in.
5   Shaman   2020 Apr 8, 9:28am

I do think that he was always far too much of a wimp to run successfully for President. He refused to make any tough calls or criticize his opponents even slightly when their glaring faults couldn’t be ignored. He ultimately bowed out yet again, crushing the hopes of his supporters. Millennials loved them some Bernie, who actually addressed the issues that have crippled their generation for a decade. This should crush what is left of their liberal dreams, and possibly cause them to question all the leftoid crap they were taught in college. Millennials might not even vote much in 2020, or they might just switch parties and vote for Trump. Couldn’t do much worse than they’ve been doing voting Democrat!

He made his money, he can now happily retire in his 3 homes, possibly a 4th after this last run.

He's not been found guilty of any crime. Why don't you have billions?

Government bribes aren’t a crime when owners of the country commit them. Democrats are pieces of shit.

Does Bernie now have to make a hard choice about which house to shelter in place?
11   HeadSet   2020 Apr 8, 11:43am

Is Bernie now going to turn his donations over to Biden, and also campaign for Biden?
12   zzyzzx   2020 Apr 8, 11:52am

Any predictions as to where Bernie's new home is going to be?

It’s often said that Bernie has ‘dragged his party to the left’. That’s not exactly right. What Bernie did, like Trump, was expose the rift between the party’s voters and its leadership.

Bingo.

Trump was not wanted by the Republican leadership either.

Both the Democratic and Republican "leadership" are paid agents of globalists whose job is to prevent democracy from interfering with outsourcing US manufacturing to China.

But the people are clearly getting sick of it on both sides.

???? Bernie loved Communists like China and would have sold out the US to them. Bernie also was for unfettered illegal immigration.
16   FortwayeAsFuckJoeBiden   2020 Apr 8, 1:23pm

It was rigged against him anyway. Democrats screwed up. Should have let him run this one instead of sucking Biden’s dick.

You can't take your memories of your time with your grandkids when your dead either.
This point is moot.

True, but the grand kids get the memories too.

Who will be Joe Biden's VP pick? Sen. Kamala Harris, she blows the competition away.

Bernie could have moved to the nationalist side and team up with Trump on USA-first programs. Trump could have been the free capitalism part and Bernie the counterbalance for some necessary intervention. If he had gutted the losing and stoopid sjw open! borders! and rayscyst! transgenders! quack policies and toned down a bit on the free shit for all he could have been a modern leftist anti-globalist cabal nationalist. Glad to see Trump getting closer and closer to re-election by a landslide, now it's just senile sleepy creepy Joe.

Yup, that was kind of my point as you state. I know the grand kids could get some money too, but when that's the focus until you're 80 fucking years old, you're likely a piece of shit. Dishonest one at that in Bernie's case. Experiences are better than working until 80 and not seeing kids and grandkids, but I guess that moot point was lost.

Wonder if Bernie, and/or a few of his friends he tipped off, bought some SPDRs ahead of his announcement.

Absolutely
31   clambo   2020 Apr 8, 6:42pm

They talked to Bernie and he crumbled.

Obama and the DNC are afraid to show Biden actually debate, it will make his dementia more obvious than it was in a large group of losers.

A one on one debate with Bernie would be a disaster for Biden, even if he won the nomination.

Now Biden will only be seen in TV ads which he will be reading.
32   GreaterNYCDude   2020 Apr 8, 6:45pm

I'm irrationally irritated. Dem establishment twice c*@k blocked him in my view... and none of the establishment candidates are "likable" enough to win a general election.

The last true Democrat was probably JFK.. and he'd be considered a republican by most ob the left in this day and age.

But what do I know. I'm registered independent, lean conservative on most (but not all) issues and tend to vote libertarian for the top line.

As much as I think the hallmark of a nobel society is how you treat the very least that's better done on a local not a federal level in my view.

Also I never understood how you can be pro choice and anti death penalty or vice versa.. but thats a whole nother issue and I don't want to hijack this thread.

Hijack it! It's Patnet. It's the reason I keep coming back.

Yes and it's the reason I don't think Biden will end up being the nominee. They're going to plug someone else in. I'm pretty convinced of that now. Biden can't win unless he's been playing a game and faking what seems like serious illness. I think they got him as a consensus candidate and then will swap him out. If it was Bernie they would have had to go with him or there would have been riots. Biden is the easier swap out candidate if that makes sense.

Easy.

Baby didn't make any bad choices but the perp did.

I'm only against the death penalty because it's way more expensive than life in prison. I also don't have a problem with abortions early on. Shit's pretty out of hand these days though eh?

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/04/08/watch-trump-bernie-and-i-agree-u-s-has-been-ripped-off-on-trade/

President Trump said he hopes Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-VT) supporters back him in the 2020 presidential election against presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden because the two agree that the United States’ trade policy must put American workers before corporate interests.

During a press briefing on Wednesday, Trump welcomed Sanders’ supporters to his re-election campaign after the self-described democratic socialist suspended his campaign — leaving Biden as the presumptive Democrat nominee for president.

Trump said he has long held the same positions on trade as Sanders, opposing the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and China’s entering the World Trade Organization (WTO) — policies that have cost the U.S. five million manufacturing jobs.

The early window for abortions is a practical compromise not really founded on morals. I support that too while generally opposing abortions. Also exceptions such as rape or health/genetic issues which are really rare. True the death penalty costs too much, I'm ok with life in prison instead as long as there's no parole or early release.

Not a topic I've researched at all. How is the death penalty more expensive than life sentences though? Room and board for say a 25 year old murderer that could live for another 60-70 years? That surely has to be more expensive than injecting someone with poison? Again, not a topic I've looked at ever, so be nice ;)
