Hahaha. The left loses again.

Trump won by a handful of votes in several key states. Going into this election there are going to be millions upon millions of newly unemployed WITHOUT health insurance. The democrats are naturally going to go on the offense and have Biden et al go for Single Payer. Trump and the GOP have no counter measure. Republican losses could be substantial.

He had a short time where he was listening to experts and talking straight,

What experts? The name gives it away, but it's a new virus. There's literally no one that is an expert on something that's been around 3 months and likely up to 6.

If you're an expert on basketball at the NBA level and all of a sudden they make the court 200 yards long and the rim set to 28', the entire game changes. It would take years to then become an expert at the new way the game is played. You'd likely have to get a whole new set of players as height would no longer be as advantageous. Yet the concept is still the same, so people would blindly put faith into the people that were experts in the old way of basketball. It could result in more losses.

You're casting blame on Trump for not listening to people that don't even exist. I hate Nancy Pelosi, but her whole Chinatown stunt, she had no fucking clue what this virus was. I'm sure she has "experts" she had communicated with. To expect perfection from anyone when the game has completely changed is lunacy. Hence why there's a lot of death during pandemic. We're trying to stop something that floats through the air, and most places are still failing at it with complete shut downs and new cases still coming online.

A lot of people are credentialed in a lot of different things. It doesn't mean they're good at it or an expert by any means. It's likely based on who they knew to get into the position they're in. I'd guess many here can speak to getting snuffed out of a job or promotion because the boss' kid just graduated or their neighbor needed a job and you didn't get the promotion. Or in modern times they HAD to hire the female because of "quotas" or some other BS. Rising to the top doesn't mean the person is the best. Blind faith is dangerous.

The people who are scientists and make educated statements based on the facts we have. If they cant tell, there's not a hope in hell ignoramus Trump can tell anything more.

An argument from authority (argumentum ab auctoritate), also called an appeal to authority, or argumentum ad verecundiam, is a form of defeasible[1] argument in which the opinion of an authority on a topic is used as evidence to support an argument. It is well known as a fallacy, though some consider that it is used in a cogent form when all sides of a discussion agree on the reliability of the authority in the given context.[2][3] Other authors consider it a fallacy to cite an authority on the discussed topic as the primary means of supporting an argument.[4]

As opposed to an appeal to idiocracy.

Our system is based on people voting for representatives and a president who they feel will act in their interest.

It is not supposed to be a dictatorship of "experts".

After all those Trump memes, I am surprised you put one in about Biden. Are you hoping Cuomo gets the nomination?

I like how the media expects us to believe that Trump has stayed at about 50% his whole presidency, about what he came in on.
But the media keeps hyping partisan polls.

One week Trump is up at an all time high 52% of what ever lie they are tossing around, then the next they say he slipped to low 40's.

I don't even think they are polling anyone. They say he's up, and really blast it out. Then the next week, they always, on queue, report he's slipped to the lowest of his Presidency.

They expect us to believe that 10% of his supporters just decided to jump ship every time CNN gets the Sads?

Like, Like who in the fuck would they vote for, a Goddamn geriatric retard, wut wut, you expect them warm up to the Commies? Like they had an epiphany when they saw their big fat Trump Check, and decided they want off the Trump train now?

Liberals are so fucking predictable, and Trumps numbers are far bigger than Libs can imagine. Especially now after the Liberals put the world on Time Out because we wont stop hanging out with Donald Trump and going to his Concerts.

Aint no fucking Liberal Scumbag ever going to be Prez of this wonderful country ever again. Those rotten sorry bastards, don't even like this Country or the people in it. They can get the fuck out, or at the very least. Go to hell and Die!

No the 40-45% never jump ship. Its just once in a while he steps outside of his egomania and stupidity and does something that appeals to people other than his base. His polls pop up, and then he goes back to being Trump.

I think they look for crowds that are chanting "Yo Fuck Donald Trump!"
To poll.

Wait. So, just to be clear let me make sure I understand what you're saying, or perhaps you can correct me if I'm wrong.

You're saying that you aren't happy about Trump's numbers going right back down again ?

A lot of beating around the bush but yeah, I'm going to go with that.

"don't even like this Country or the people in it"

That's not fair. I don't hate or even dislike the stupid, the gullible, the uneducated or the racists. Or for that matter the hard core "conservatives" that tolerate Trump. This latter group includes people I consider friends or family. But I'm not going to pretend to be as fond of those groups as the great con artist does.

Fortunately, those groups together aren't even 50% of the country.

Do you just imagine every rich person as the monopoly guy....monacle, top hat and all?
22   MisdemeanorRebel   2020 Apr 24, 6:47pm

Trump has been in the mid 40s his entire Presidency with few exceptions. The trend of the polls is that he inches higher every month, and the COVID crisis isn't doing him any harm. Can't be arsed to go look, but you can see this at RealClearPolitics' approval poll.

The thing is that 42-43% is his floor, he never goes lower. With all the shit Demmedia's thrown at him, if it ain't worked yet it ain't gonna work.

He's only got to pick up a fraction outside his enthusiastic, hardcore base to win.

If the Media was even partially fair, like only being 66% negative instead of 90% negative coverage, Trump would probably be in the mid 50s most of his Presidency.

My honest advice to Biden - people are really electing your Vice President, so don't pick a whacko to make the base happy, it'll backfire. Nobody believes Biden is with it - whatever bullshit they say in public - and his campaign team is even more dubious. IF Biden is even the nominee leaving the Dem Convention.

Trump's best debate strategy is to let Biden give long winded, rambling, muddled answers to everything and just shake his head out of pity. Don't interrupt dementia, let the public see the full losses in Biden's capacity when the Media or Handlers can't talk for him or whisk him quickly away without suspicion.

90% negative coverage

One thing I still don't get. How is it "negative coverage" when the media reports stupid stuff that Trump does or says ?

They're just reporting on what he does and how people feel about what he does. Why is that not what the media is supposed to do ?

Actually the truth is as far as what I can see, they go out of their way to under report the negatives of Trump. Why aren't they constantly reporting abut the illegal immigrants his golf courses and hotels hire ? That is, his hypocrisy ? Why is it that only recently they are only starting to report the byzantine financial financial connections he has with the Russians and Chinese ?

If anything the media have cut him tons of slack, becasue they are owned by entities that view all of this as distraction and entertainment. And becasue they get what they want from Trump. The truth is that the owners are happy to see Trump go down as a loser, becasue they got what they wanted out of him.

Actually no. What I bolded is called an opinion piece and not journalism. It can become inherently biased when people's feeling become involved, regardless of how neutral you try to be. Whether it's the reporter themselves or the people they interview. Which gets to the point that almost all media now is opinion and not journalism.

I occasionally listen to my local AM radio political stations in Chicago. As an independent, I do want to hear the extremes of the far left and right. While I don't agree with either side on everything, the right seems to be more honest. I've heard Sean Hannity say on his own show he's not a journalist. I've yet to ever hear that from the left. Both sides regurgitate information that is absolutely biased and is not journalism. The left tends to try and hide behind the shield of "journalism" while they're simply putting out opinion and not owning up to it.
