There’s a new and serious threat to both free speech and security online. Under a draft bill that Bloomberg recently leaked, the Attorney General could unilaterally dictate how online platforms and services must operate. If those companies don’t follow the Attorney General’s rules, they could be on the hook for millions of dollars in civil damages and even state criminal penalties.

The bill, known as the Eliminating Abusive and Rampant Neglect of Interactive Technologies (EARN IT) Act, grants sweeping powers to the Executive Branch. It opens the door for the government to require new measures to screen users’ speech and even backdoors to read your private communications—a stated goal of one of the bill’s authors.

And it's bipartisan. Both parties are guilty of trying to undermine your rights here.

Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) should be voted out of office for this.

How many times, and how many people have to tell other people, there's only ONE party. The only difference between the "parties" are what lies they tell you to get elected, they do exactly the same thing in office.

If that wasn't the case, George W. Bush and his entire administration could have easily been impeached and removed from office after it was absolutely clear there was no weapons of mass destruction program in Iraq to justify a war that cost over a trillion dollars, and got between 100,000 and 1,000,000 Iraqis killed. That never happened.

If there are two parties, its the criminal syndicate that firmly controls the nation, and the rest of us - the victims of it.

Gee whiz, the criminal syndicate wants to be able to read what everybody else is saying, but they hypocritically classify everything, and persecute Julian Assange for exposing their criminal wrong doing? Whoda thunk it?

The important thing is to watch the bill, and see who votes for it - then remove them from office.

This is the actual bill, you can keep track of what deep state puppets are directed by their masters to sign it into "law", even though it's clearly in violation of the 4th amendment which means it's invalid to begin with:

You'd think the people complaining about this bill would give their readers direct access to what is being done with it, but NOOOOOOooooo, there's no journalists at all anymore.
