Ruling classes are always the enemy of the people per se and they inherently hate democracy, because it extends and dilutes absolute power. They are self designated apex predators.

However, they are kept somewhat in check by fear. The people are unpredictable, like weather, and can turn on a dime to drag the ruling classes from their perches aka French Revolution and Russian Revolution. These black swans for ruling classes can't be factored or controlled, but that doesn't keep the RulingFucks from constantly trying.

You can see from the Deep State and Globalization shenanigans that they would LUV to have the people a lobotomized, easily controlled form of cannon fodder, with themselves as hereditary uber psychopaths.

However, cannon fodders can reverse trend and genetics isn't reliable enough to produce the perfect, functional psychopath spawn that the RulingFucks crave. Their frustration at their own childrens' tendency to be merely cruel and squandering without enlightenment of any kind often surfaces.

One more factor: the ruling class is always vastly outnumbered by their own servants, the people.

This is necessarily so, because wealth is servants. To be rich is to have many servants. All other measures of wealth are actually just measuring the number of servants in some indirect way.

This is what makes democracy a threat to every ruling class.

So after participating in this for decades, FOx News is calling itself out ? I don't get it. . The ruling class isn't some unilateral entity. There are all kinds of interests at play, to have their piece of the government and their piece of the media.

In my view Fox has been the mouth piece for the ruling class more than anyone screwing things up right and left.

Typical attack the source BS when you haven’t got a counter argument.
Fox News is the platform for Tucker, who has built a reputation as a free thinker, not a mindless right wing propagandist. He’s gotten hate in return from the left and the right.
Nobody likes free thinkers.
They don’t fit into nice little boxes that can be elevated or denigrated with impunity as the quoted poster did.

Have to drop this here. We do NOT have a democracy for government. We DON'T Want To Have a democracy for government. The same thing that a majority feels ruling mob would do to the ruling class they can do to others that don't think like them. See the government in all of the states that have abandoned the understanding of what their government structure actually is.

We have Constitutional Republics, for good fucking reason. Learn it. Understand it. Live it.

Republic and democracy are not mutually exclusive. We have a government that is meant to be both.

All true but it was designed to protect a potential minority from the democratic yet tyrannical majority. And it's showing its weakness by leftoids and cultural Marxism exploiting this protection by using minorities to tyrranize the majority.

As long as enough people can make it in to the "middle class" the system survives.

"Everyone is ready to tear each other apart in the Democratic primary," commented Aleksei Teplov, a Russian hacker. "It seems like if we tried to add any more chaos, it would just be a drop in the ocean."

Some people will believe anything that matches their narrative.
