Trump Pledges to Continue Subsidies to Farmers

"President Trump said that his administration would continue offering subsidies to farmers until various trade deals “fully kick in.”

He falsely claimed the aid would be “paid for out of the massive tariff money coming into the USA!”

Those tariffs are actually paid by U.S. consumers, not foreign countries."

Who's the socialist? Is he lying about "tariff money coming into the USA" or simply an imbecile?" Of course it's all about buying votes.
It's interesting, but not surprising that since the phase one deal, with China pledging to buy massive amounts of soybeans and other commodities grain prices haven't moved much. Either the markets don't trust China (smart' bet) or in the a world awash with ag commodities it just doesn't make much difference where China buys, there is simply too much supply. Probably both.

BTW Check out DE today. It's a quality company. I bought when its stock was in the mid 80's a few years back. It's good to know US consumers are subsidizing the purchase of the Green Machines, thank you

No one should be subsidized...and before cutting welfare to citizens, perhaps welfare for big companies should be BANNED.

The Farm Aid is more than paid for by the Punitive Tariffs on China. There's a surplus left over.

Isn't it great Trump is finding new revenues?

You do realize China doesn't pay the tariffs? The revenue comes from the importer, American companies. It is a tax. On Americans. Right?
