If we would stop depleting our soil fertility to send the Bulk of the Soy Beans we grown to China.
Then perhaps, we can get Vegetable Oil for a few dollars a gallon again. It's more than Peanut Oil was just a few years ago.
Why do we need to trade with China again? So Corporate farmers can fuck America's Dinner Table?

I'm glad China is pulling this Virus Hoax. The medical supplies shortage is showing America the dangers of having everything made in China while we grow food, and then create price pressures on our own dinner tab, by sending the bulk of what we grow to China.
China needs to get back to fostering their rural class and get back to farming. Food prices would fall around the world, but the Investor class would be livid.
And most Democrat voters would get the sads, they hate when Billionaires lose money. They feel like they it was their own personal money that got squandered.

In the Philippines the poor eat "Pagpag", which is basically recycled dumpster food. Restaurateurs go dumpster diving to find food scraps, then bring it back to their "restaurant" where they recook it and make it look palatable. Many are forthcoming about what they're selling, but I'm sure some places aren't.

And we import quite a lot of food from China, any food product of China should be avoided or any Asian nation for that matter, Japan excepted. Read the labels

You think that's bad, there are cases of food vendors draining the oil out of TRANSFORMERS to fry their wares in! It's popular because it is very resistant to oxidation at high temperature, so it can be used for a long time compared to other oils. Like melamine plastic added to trick protein testing, this is such a high level of "Fuck the health and very life of the end user I just want money!" that it's beyond my ability to understand in any way.
