But it's women today, Rotunno went on, who have refused to claim the same agency and instead blame men.

"Everybody says, 'Oh, are you telling women that if they go to hotel rooms they deserve to be raped?' No," Rotunno said. "What I'm saying is that after having drinks and being at a party and sitting in a bar with somebody and going to their hotel at midnight, don't be so ridiculous as to say, 'I thought I was going to see a script.' At some point, where is the responsibility?"

...

She presented the accuser, Jessica Mann, a 34-year-old hairstylist, with copies of an unpublished blog post that prosecutors recovered from her phone.

"You told the jury the threesome was horrifying because it was something you didn't want to do," Rotunno said. "I would like you to read the note from your phone to the ladies and gentlemen of the jury."

"Do I have to?" Mann asked, turning her head toward Justice James Burke.

"Yes," Rotunno said.

After a long pause, Mann began reading the years-old post, describing a threesome with an unnamed "older man" and an Italian woman, seemingly the same one she mentioned in her testimony.

Loaded with jokes, expletives, and erotic descriptions of the woman's body, the written version characterized the encounter as exciting, not upsetting. At one point it compared Mann to a "14-year-old boy about to lose his virginity."

"This is what really happened," Rotunno said after Mann read.

Mann disagreed. She said she wrote the post only because she "wanted to reframe it for comedy."

"Our justice system has decided that just because someone says something doesn't mean it's true," Rotunno told Insider. "This notion of people saying 'this is my truth.' Well, there's no such thing. There's no such thing as your truth or my truth. There's the truth. And my job is to get to whatever it is."

"I was soooo abused! I only sucked 30 dicks and slept with 20 guys before Weinstein took advantage of virginal self by inviting me into an MFF Threesome. I was only joking when I wrote a blog post about how fun it was a few days later"

If women are as dumb/mendacious as Mann, then we need to return to Sicily style dating circa 1950.

I think she’s proving that those women weren’t raped, but are just whores looking for another payout.

We all know that women who are hot can try to use attractiveness for advantage.
We know that some guys are sex addicts.
We know that Harvey is a man bear pig who normally could have trouble finding pussy in a whorehouse.
We should also know that it is not uncommon for a female victim to not report an incident to anyone, and to not completely avoid the guy.
For the chance to become rich and famous, I have no doubt a female would try to manage her hate for Harvey and even try to con him.
I have experienced this from both sides in a way; I have had an asshole boss who was abusive but I bit my tongue and tried to stick it out because I wanted the paycheck.
The other side is a hot young female in S. Florida wanted to date me, but after a while it was clear she was seeking a sugar daddy. She didn’t want to let me go, and she flipped out when her older sister expressed interest in me. She was outstanding at sweet talking and flirting, but I know it was about her getting something.
Harvey is guilty, he found that so few girls would resist or object that he got too aggressive with several who wanted no sex with a human monster ugly enough to work in a freak show.

Another variation of Hooker-Foo. My wonderment is not that they have legally enabled frustrated hookers to testify against a creepy Hollywood Executive John, but that this happened at all, and why now with all the other Me-Too citations?

Are the Globalists reminding Hollywood and the powerful media figures that they are entirely fungible at any level? Did the media try to flip the Shadow dudes off, and their legally spurting heads are now on pikes around the palace walls to set an example, like Henry VIII and rebellious nobles?

That just means more uniform, blaring, boring, monolithic, simplified agitprop from the centralized Politburo and their captive media outlets.

Maybe women's ability to destroy men's carrier with #meToo men on twitter and similarly sue young men in universities, give them an overinflated sense of what they can achieve when due process is involved.

Quid Pro Quo culture of Hollywood has been established for over a hundred years. It is so well known that the women negotiate it like a jungle gym. They know exactly what is going on, and they are 'victims' only of their own greed and narcissism. This strange transformation from hardened sexual tradesperson back to virginal waif and sexually exploited naif is a fiction that only Hollywood could invent.

I remember lunches in LA during my graduate program, There were these young, baby faced beauties at an adjacent table discussing marriage to rich men simply for divorce settlements, like they were talking squash matches. They were multi generation evolved sexual predator-prey experts.

I watched the large 'female quota' admittants to my graduate group vividly exploit their sexuality to gain advantage wherever they could. Along with the other 'diversity' quotas, I felt like rat on a plank in an ocean of bizarre, politically imposed injustice. If you want the ticket, you have to shut the fuck up and mind your own business.

The great irony is that a real slut (and that's her perogative) Rose McGowan, was the only one to stand up to and sue Weinstein's ass.

The rest of the fake ass bitches bent the knee for years (voluntarily) and then claimed victimization later.

So far, looks like Weinstein is a dirtbag, but not a rapist.
11   Ceffer   2020 Feb 7, 12:23pm

Weinstein was a glutton at a feast. Being a glutton isn't pretty, but what else do you do at a feast?

It's kind of caught fire among the common folk as well. I now know of 4 different instances where a female has gone to complain about a coworker based off a bullshit story. And when it doesn't work...they act like it never happened. They view it as a game.

We had one instance where a 200 lb girl went to HR and said that someone else made an inappropriate sexual comment to her. 5 people, including me, were present and no one corroborated her story the way she saw it. Everyone (about 40 people) decided she was too much of a liability to talk to anymore so we all just kept our distance. She then went to HR and said we ostracized her.

Basically, it's probably a guarantee that Weinstein banged countless numbers of girls hoping to become stars...and some did and kept quiet. Others probably decided they didn't have to anymore after they became famous. Others...I have no doubt that he went too far. But I also have no doubt that there are a bunch of girls trying to get on the lawsuit gravy train here.

You encountered a Cubefrau.

Eventually she will develop Fibromyassgia, or complain that somebody's cologne/perfume is giving her allergies and demand to be moved (to a nice place, hopefully to a new group of suckers to terrorize for attention).
14   clambo   2020 Feb 7, 1:23pm

As far as females claiming abuse for bullshit, I agree and experienced it myself.

I went up to Oregon to work at a place that a guy I did work for wanted to buy.

I made a comment in mixed company about how fat women are in Oregon.

Later the crazy female owner said I had to apologize to the female who had heard me.

I couldn’t figure out what was going on at first.

Anyway, if I actually needed the job it would have been scary to be in my shoes.

We are all against rape.

How in the world 100s of hot girls flock to him and not know that he offered roles to girls who made him sexually happy.

If anything , these girls told each other how to suck good d so they can also get the role.

When 500 girls want to be actor and they are all pretty good looking, how can he distinguish who really wants the role. Guessing sex was his weeding process.

When Weinstein turns against dem, imagine the type of movies he will make.

Dems have lost lot of simp men voters due to metoo. Diluted actual real rapes victims issues. Now nonsexual touching or looked at girl has turned into rape.

Heh, Heh! You're lucky you didn't get the 'Wicker Man' treatment. It never ceases to amaze me in the battle of the sexes that women demand continuous, lavish praise, flattery, soap opera lines and reinforcement from men while giving none in return. When I go out to dinner with couples, some of the whipped men seem to compliment their wives with an egg timer i.e. some ridiculous flattery of compliment every three minutes without fail. It's like they are terrorized at the thought of their wives' unconstrained volatility if not kept in check with insane and inane praise.

Of course, some of these men are also the biggest bounders and scoundrels, so maybe it's just the checks and balances of these tortured relationships.

It's also funny to see the male road kills. Women will say "I want complete honesty from you for the health of our relationship and to know you intimately in every detail". The men actually think it's a real request rather than a sucker punch, then let out with some 'real' honesty to devastating emotional results from said female. Back to the phony soap opera lines. It's like Linus and Lucy with the football.

Whenever a woman tells you she wants real honesty, it's fair warning to start lying like a thief.

She's a Who'er!

I'm still waiting to hear from the moral impeccable character that ran from Hollywood after his initial indecent proposal. She was wronged.
But that person is a Unicorn. Any woman/girl that goes to Hollywood to make it, will suck the chrome off a trailer hitch to get in the movies.

"My blood runs cold, my memories has just been sold, my Angel is a Centerfold"

Those lyrics was totally about Weinstiens Circle and the Women that answers his beckon call. It's no secret what those women were doing. I think it's disgusting that so many in the US are willing to vilify Weinstein for a Century standard operation procedures of females making it in Hollywood. Every starlet in every movie ever made put in couch time to get that role. Many dudes too! Rock Hudson ring a bell?

That being said, I would be perfectly fine with Wienstien dropping dead this minute from a heart attack. But I wont build these whores up for more than what they are. They are not the damn Victim. The boyfriends they broke the hearts of to go to Hollywood are bigger victims.

If you want to sift through David Lynch's symbolic and non-linear arcana, his movie 'Mulholland Drive' says it all. Another 'Lynchian' companion piece released recently was also strange but good along the same lines, called 'The Neon Demon'.

There are still some self parody floating around. For the art scene, 'The Velvet Buzzsaw' is another.

NoCoupForYou posts, "This notion of people saying 'this is my truth.' Well, there's no such thing. There's no such thing as your truth or my truth. There's the truth.'
if not don't we have to judge Harvey by his truth; that is it was not rape, but, mutual exchange of benefits.

Scorned, or fully appreciated for what they were? This is just a re-negotiation of the terms and conditions of the contract for gain. Never mistake secondary gain for revenge.

Likening the District Attorneys prosecuting the case against Weinstein to producers of a film, Rotunno said that “in their universe, women are not responsible for the parties they attend, the men they flirt with. In this universe they are not even responsible for sitting at their computers and sending messages to men across the country.”

Rotunno suggested that the prosecutor’s case “strips adult women” of their own agency and responsibility, and began laying out the timelines of both Haley and Mann with regard to their interactions with Weinstein, reiterating points the defense team has made throughout the trial: That both women continued to maintain contact with Weinstein after the alleged attacks, including sending friendly emails, seeking Weinstein party invitations and attending those parties, and repeatedly meeting with the man they would later accuse of rape.

Rotunno’s closing statement is continuing now, with the attorney detailing the repeated contacts made by the accusers with Weinstein following the alleged misconduct. For example, Rotunno said, Haley testified that she visited Weinstein at his Soho apartment because she was afraid he was angry she hadn’t accepted a prior invitation to fly to Paris.

Rotunno reminded the jury that Haley had said, when asked why she went to Weinstein’s apartment alone, that “she had no reason not to.”

It would make more sense to attack him for sexual harassment.
As long as it was implicit that sexual favors were needed to help the carrier of women, it doesn't matter if the women willingly agreed, it's clear qui pro quo harassment and abuse of his position of power.

It takes two to have a bribe work. If "Sleep with me and you will get the part" makes the man guilty of abuse of power, then the woman is also guilty of prostitution. It is way different than threatening to fire someone who does not put out.
28   Heraclitusstudent   2020 Feb 13, 12:34pm

That's not how CA harassment laws work. A person in power cannot ask for unprofessional extras in exchange for professional advancement.
Any HR would blast someone doing that.
This is a state where people are afraid to post a swimsuit calendar or tell an off-color joke because of how someone might feel about it.
