Both D's and R's keep their respective districts. An interesting data point:

R's raised the margin of winning in District 28 from 54-46 to 58-42, despite a YUUGE effort by D's to flip it, incl tons of funding and endorsements from outside TX. Please note the population distribution in this district: Anglo: 46.6 Black: 15.0 Hispanic: 22.0 Other (mostly Asian): 17.0. Evil minorities are deserting their benevolent masters and benefactors in Democratic party...

Republican businessman Gary Gates defeated Democratic educator Eliz Markowitz in the special election runoff for House District 28, keeping the seat under GOP control despite a vigorous and nationally watched effort by Democrats to flip it.

Gates’ decisive win came after Markowitz marshaled the support of several Democratic presidential candidates, touted a poll showing a neck-and-neck race and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars from groups outside Texas.

Democrats viewed the Fort Bend County race as a chance to display strength ahead of the fall 2020 elections, when they aim to regain control of the Texas House by flipping a number of rapidly diversifying suburban seats that are similar to House District 28...

The margin for R loss in TX House district 148 was smaller than in previous elections by a few points, Democrat Anna Eastman led Republican Luis LaRotta with more than 65 percent of the vote. This is ca. 75% Black+Hispanic district, interspersed (in Heights) with damned yuppies who are mostly even more damned Yankee transplants. Note that progressives did not support a genuine minority Hispanic, first-generation immigrant from Colombia Luis LaRotta, instead voting for a rich white womyn.

I do not know how this will scale in nationwide elections since TX is in league of its own, with rural and suburban Hispanics being very religious and conservative.
