I support the president for his economy, his jobless rate and the record numbers of the stock market that his deregulation fueled. I applaud his unconditional support of the police at a time when I worry we’re returning to a ’60s-style “police are pigs” mind-set. (Michael Bloomberg should stop apologizing for reducing violent crime in New York City.)

I feel safe in my bed with the way the president is handling Iran and North Korea. Most of all, I support him for saving the Supreme Court from Hillary Clinton.

Trump came from the roughest job training in the world: the New York construction trade. His manners are sometimes missing. He can be coarse and a bully. But I’ve been pleasantly surprised that he has done exactly what he promised despite a hostile press.

The impeachment inquiry is a farce. Ukraine didn’t do the investigation and the aid was released. ...

The Democrats have never recovered from the 2016 election when they nominated the worst candidate in political history and lost to a political novice. ..

The mainstream media has reached a new low. It is not even pretending to be objective as it relentlessly batters the president daily (putting Trump just ahead of Harvey Weinstein and trailing only Satan). Reporters write opinion columns packed with innuendo and anonymous sources — not to mention what Anonymous is cooking up.

Newspapers that once had the most stringent editing rules on sources now appear to have no editors at all. The Washington Post reached a new journalistic low when it described the world’s No. 1 terrorist as an “austere religious scholar,” after our forces cornered him and he blew himself up.

What are they up to at the NY Times? I'm used to getting 100% hate and spin from them, so it's confusing.

Are they thinking of going back into journalism? Maybe they let this one through to they can claim it's not 100% irrational hate from them, only 99.9%.

Circulation drops, maybe? Another odd example is Newsweek firing that girl who reported Trump was playing golf on Thanksgiving when Trump was actually in Kabul with the troops. If mis-informing on Trump were a fire-able offense, then so many other reporters would have their heads on the chopping block.

Probably not, since the NYT is shifting to a subscriber based revenue system as ad revenue collapses, this is happening to most trad media.

They can't anger their well-off professional class subscription base in Revolving Door private-public partnership occupations that hates Trump.

both Wapo and NYT allow both parties to do that

It would be interesting to see the percentages from both sides.

I agree that ALT right is less represented but many RINO ( again the conservatives at the end of spectrum hate these guys) are represented.

You mean they run a bunch of Never-Trumper "conservatives" shitting all over Trump and his supporters?

Before Trump, the Left considered anyone Right of Center (like the boy-scout Mitt Romney or John McCain) as a Nazi/Racists.

Right - like:

- World is going to end in 10 years due to Climate Change?
- 25,000 different genders?
- Fucking up children with hormone blockers and surgically mutilating their bodies?
- Third trimester babies are nothing but a tumor?
- Math is racist?

but left on environment

You really mean "left on the AGW myth." Concern for the environment includes concern for pollution of waterways, resource depletion, and air quality. The best way to address those issues is to close the illegal immigrant stream and allow the population to stabilize to a level supportable by renewables. Also to stop imports from countries like China that manufacture without concern for the environment. If you were actually serious about the environment, you would support Trump in his efforts to rein in unfettered illegal immigration and his tariffs on China.

Trump was not a political novice. I never paid that much attention to him until POTUS, but looking into his history, he has studied the Presidency for decades and it was not a slipshod, spur of the moment run.

Strange logic to support Trump, the president who took us out of Paris accord.

The Paris Accord was form over substance. Which countries actually reduced the carbon pollution? The USA with the switch to natural gas, or the glad to sign China that is opening many new coal plants?

The Paris Accords virtue signaling, voting Dem, and "believing" do nothing to mitigate pollution. Not overpopulating and manufacturing to western pollution standards do. You are the cult member, my friend.

Trump, the president who took us out of Paris accord.

Seeing that it would cost trillions to do nothing, why is leaving the Paris accord a bad thing?

.

Population is a problem. How about support for real family planning? Oh yeah the evangelicals dont like that. But in the mean time how about not gutting every environmental regulation that is guttable and not installing industry lobbyists in all agency positions related to the environment. Trump has zero interest in environmental protection and his actions show it.

Public schools are too busy teaching about trannies and gay sex to teach about family planning.

Family planning not only in the USA but in the countries to our south. To get them to sustainable populations, money well spent

I prefer to have coastal leftists and professionals be barren and heartland families have 3 kids a pop.

I encourage all leftist families to have trans offspring and barren single professional women

2016: you don't understand, Trump is really like Hitler!

2006: Bushhitler!

IT's an editorial written by a republican. What else is new ? Of course there are republicans that like What Trump has done for taxes or for the supreme court.

Not sure what the opinion pieces your editorial staff decides to publish has to do with:

journalism?

Maybe they are trying to get readers like you back in, so you will trust them on journalism and also read the opinions of intelligent folks ? I mean what the heck, you folks do represent a significant minority.

What has he done that's bad for you personally? I was an anomaly but I got a tax increase, so I don't like that. Really nothing else has hit me personally, financially, emotionally, etc.
