Let's try this again, since it's only two months to go to Iowa and Kamala has dropped out.

Which candidates do you support? Top two or three? And why.

Do they even know who is running?

It's going to be a brokered convention.

It will either be Hillary or Michelle.

2 of Andrew Yang's 3 main goals are so "out there" that they won't get much traction in congress. So if he spends his time pushing those to no avail, maybe he would be the least damaging to the country?

Tulsi Gabbard and Quid Pro Joe seem to have the least socialist policies. At least Gabbard isn't a run-of-the-mill war monger.

I agree with Hillary making a surprise return.

Anyone know any betting lines on it out there?

I doubt they are giving any of their candidates odds. They are already in mourning weeds.

I registered as a Democrat just to support Tulsi Gabbard if she gets on the ballot.

She won't though. She has told too much truth about Saudi Arabia.

The plan all along is for her to eventually run as an Independent. Shady PAC Money is going to fund her only in Red and Purple States where they need a thin margin shaved off Trump.

Hillary for president is currently an uncommon bet: https://www.predictit.org/markets/detail/4614/Will-Hillary-Clinton-run-for-president-in-2020

Makes me want to buy some yes...I think it's more than 7% likely she will.

Good article, pretty much covers why Democrats are so hesitant about picking a candidate; they want to defeat Trump, but they are also more Far Left than ever, and they are having a hard time trying to find a Candidate that's Far enough to the Left, yet electable. Good luck with that.

Jim Estin has spent months following the candidates — he’s seen Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind., four separate times — but he still hasn’t been able to pick a favorite.

“I have dated them all,” the 65-year-old psychiatric social worker said. He made the admission sheepishly, as friends and colleagues milled around his Iowa City living room in the closing minutes of a breakfast gathering put on by the Warren campaign. His wife, Ann, a law professor, sided with the senator last fall.

But Estin has regretted some of his past choices, such as supporting former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards in the 2008 caucus over Obama, the eventual winner. The shock of Trump winning in 2016 has made him second-guess his instincts even more.

“Democrats really missed something important in the last election,” he said. “I feel a little traumatized.”

The dilemma voters face can be described most simply as the tug of war between the heart and the head, said Dennis Goldford, a political science professor at Drake University in Des Moines.

The former, he said, "you think is a wonderful candidate; you’d go to the mat for that candidate. It’s the person that makes your heart beat faster,” he said. The head, meanwhile, is “if you look at it coldly, objectively — who would seem to have the best chance of defeating the opposition?”

With no clear candidate checking all those boxes, Goldford said, a large number of voters remain undecided.

“They desperately want to defeat the president and they desperately want to avoid blowing the opportunity to do so,” he said. “So they’re very, very skittish about whose side they should come down on.”

Only two weeks to go, and now Biden and Bernie are neck and neck, with Warren and Butteggs not far behind.

NH about the same:

It's very possible that Bernie wins both, and even more likely that he wins one.

I have a feeling, just a vibe, that if Biden doesn't seal the deal before Super Tuesday it's going to be a complete mess.

Let's not forget that Bernie is outraising Biden, who is in the throes of a funding crisis, at least after the last filings in October. I don't think Biden has improved much, but I know the other three, especially Bernie, are generating big small donation amounts.

There's almost no chance of Bernie beating Trump.

It would be great if Trump could win the majority vote in addition to the electoral. Especially if there's a bunch of states where his popularity increases relative to how he scored in 2016, making it obvious that some people in the middle shifted towards him instead of away from him. The "omg like pop vote is more important than elecoral vote" sore-loser-narrative could be flipped back in their face, killing them with their own poison.

I think if this happened, some of the TDS would subside and people would see that others are realizing they were somewhat wrong about Trump, and so may have an open mind to at least try to objectively reevaluate him on some points. If these people could see how they were played and manipulated by the media, it might help make the country more resistant to it in the future, which would be a great non-partisan outcome. Fake smear campaigns and witch hunts should not be allowed to be politically gainful, otherwise we will have much more of them in the future, which isn't good for the country.

That all might happen if Bernie is the dem candidate, because Bernie can't beat Trump.
