What amazes me is the owners and coaches have somehow gotten the players to actually give a shit about the outcome of the games to such an extreme extent.

I have seen guys paid millions of bucks to play a game crying over a lost game; really? I would only cry if my paycheck bounced after I was a cripple or a retard after the hits took their toll.

I can't stand watching sports lately, perhaps my attention span is shortened permanently by Youtube; after 10 minutes I'm done with something and look at the next thing.

My experience is that only lower IQ individuals are emotionally tied when there is absolutely no financial link to the sport outcome.

As the IQ increases, there is a need for financial tie to the outcome for their to be the emotional element.

When I look at my most successful friends, the ones that love sports are all betting on games.

Only the dumbest SOBs have their mother shit them out in a particular city and they then spend their life wearing that city’s jersey color and yelling at other jersey colors about the outcome of the game.

Every time I ride Caltrain with a thousand fans of the SF Giants, I'm certain you're right about this.

The average IQ of the train plummets when the baseball fans board, and not just because they're mostly drunk.

Then I curse myself for failing to check the baseball game schedule before getting the train. Maybe I'm not so smart either.

Lol. That and the "fans" that get pissed when their team sucks and complain, and yet when another city's "fan" calls out their team they come running in defend how good the team will be. The team sucks, get over it.

I especially hate it when sports fans say "we" when talking about the team. You a fucking owner all a sudden? You make the team?
