You talk about these news outlets as if they are speaking facts rather than the anti-Trump slogans of the Great Globalist Paradise.

Right go for the personal rather than address the issues. Inequality is one. How's that 4% GDP going?

Are any of the headlines factually wrong? Or is that that they don't follow the narrative that is believed by the "chosen one's" followers?

Even the poorest among us have smart phones and are not starving. Why is it the responsibility of hard working citizens to subsidize those that won't work?

Now if you want to stop the corruption that has taken over our government vote for someone that promise you a job, not a handout.

I think “misleading” is the correct term.
Yes, manufacturing is not a big part of our economy, but it has risen steadily at a faster rate since Trump was elected. The fact that other sectors have risen more quickly DOESNT make this a failed campaign promise. This is sailing upwind into a hurricane of outsourcing started under Clinton.

Private coal companies are free to fail if badly managed. There is no reason that the government should ensure their prosperity absent the market and proper management:

As for the deficit, Paul Ryan wrote the first year. Pelosi owns the last and biggest budget.
Trump declined to shut down the government again because of the deficit. If he’d done so, you’d have been bitching even more.
Admit it.

Sure hard to disagree with that, but the problem of inequality is much deeper and systemic than simply full employment, which we are very close to having at the moment. One could start with the tax code

Headlines can be misleading, that is why I included the links. And the situation is more complicated than a single or series of articles can go into, its not black and white, so to speak. Trump and many of his followers see the world in a dualist fashion. Evil v good, with us against them, right or wrong; in a way this is their strength but also their weakness, no nuance. You might note the question mark I put at the end of the heading of the post.

If he had put forth a balanced package of tax increases and spending cuts (including military) to reduce the deficit (which he didn't) and shutdown the government over it I would have supported him. He shut down the government over funding for his wall. If Trump and or the republicans give a shit about the deficit or national debt I haven't seen it...well, since Obama was President.

Who cares about inequality provided we have a decent floor and safety net?

I think it may well come to that, the Andrew Yang answer.

And welfare reform. Too many people use the safety net as a hammock.

100% agreed. Under Trump manufacturing is dong better than any other of the last few presidents - so the headline is disingenuous at best and fake news at worst, simply comparing it to the other sector growth.

Deficit is a fair point however everybody the government is close to shutting down it's Orange Man BAD!

Inequality can't be fully addressed as long as globohomo makes plenty of globalized profit. But even so under Trump the wages for low income earners have risen fastest, si relatively speaking he has done best wrt addressing inequality.

Sure he didn't keep all of his promises, but a heck more than the past few presidents.

It's hard to keep promises when you have a bunch of lame ass LibbyFucks who instead of doing their jobs make up shit 24/24 to oppose you at any cost, including the fragmentation and destruction of the country.

The US let in ZERO refugees last month for the first time since records began

Trump administration let in no refugees in October 2019 for first time in 30 years
State Department put a pause on resettling refugees in the country three times
Pause on new admissions meant tax-payer funded flights had to be re-booked
In September proposals to allow only 18,000 refugees in 2020 were announced

"Manufacturing Is Now Smallest Share of U.S. Economy in 72 Years"
Not surprising. The US economy is vastly different from 72 years ago. My consumption habits are vastly different than those of my great grandparents.

Almost everything my grandparents bought 72 years ago was either food or something manufactured. Now I buy things like software, streaming video, home delivery service, etc, where there are no manufacturing costs.

Yes, but this doesn't let him off the hook. Trump has shown zero interest in reducing the deficit and or retiring the debt
