I think it's possible that this Bagdaddi character could have been killed previously as well. The actual proof he is still alive since the initial announcement he was killed, has been spotty at best. Trump could have used Bagdaddi as a cover to go in and fuck everything that is left of ISIS. He announced he was pulling out, to suck them all into Syria, knowing they would regroup and rebuild. Then Trump went in and fucked their shit up. The same cover Obama got away with.

I was reading about Vasco da Gama, Muslims are very much AGAINST burial at sea, it's something to be avoided. Muslims begged da Gama to land on an island to bury a pilot who got sick and died onboard.
