A real environmental problem as opposed to the church of global warming. And that's why we need more expensive and organic food that doesn't grow so fast that the soil can't recover or takes out key ingredients disproportionately due to mass mono cultures. Note that we can still feed the entire planet and most are too fat anyways. But soil depletion is a real issue that needs to be addressed within the next decades.
It's simple if the commercial farmers keep going they will put themselves out of business. Part of the strategy is also to discourage immigration but force people to properly build up and farm their own countries instead of abandoning them. And to discourage financial aid under the guise of development aid which goes to warlords in Africa. Send everyone back and force them to clean up and rebuild their countries, lots of untapped soil.
