I can have excellent Clam Chowder anytime I want.
We sell fresh clams down here, and I keep half and half in the fridge, along with a bag of potatoes.

Do they serve good clam chowder at Durgin Park or do you go to Legal Seafoods, etc. for it?
My favorite was made by a shellfish constable (what a quaint title) in Chatham.
You definitely don't want to have the clam chowder at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco because it came in a giant can from New Jersey.

Durgin's for tourists, though a number of friends go there for its Prime Rib, even though there are better places around for that stuff.
If you want touristy ambiance with decent seafood, like the chowder (but slightly less creamy), go for the Union Oyster House as King Louis Phillipe, Daniel Webster, Jack Kennedy, and other luminaries used to hang out there.

Folks, I just did it!
I'd fucked a hoe in Montreal during the day, and made it home to Boston (ala Air Canada) to have a Clam Chowder dinner with a friend, for the evening.
This is the life!
If hoeing were legal in America, I could boink and enjoy fine foods w/o ever having to leave home.

FYI, I've heard that Durgin Park's closed sometime during the prior year.
I guess for a place which solely runs on nostalgia (given the fact that it's been around since the Revolutionary war generation), having an ordinary menu isn't going to sustain itself with all the competition in the area.

Hoeing is going mainstream but it's undercover; the website is called 'Seeking Arrangement".
Some are pros who have had to give up Craigslist and Backpage; others are females who are young and broke and don't mind making quick $$ the easiest way they know how.
It's now almost common in colleges that the females engage in this to make $$ for bills and to pay off their credit card addictions, etc.
Lately there have been several articles in mainstream media about this trend. There's an article in todays NY Post about it.
It's going to be unstoppable; the people "left behind" will be the usual suspects; guys who are married and don't have enough extra dough to spend or who can't hide spending from the prying eyes of their wife.
