“I blame PG&E for causing danger and disruptions because they are too cheap and irresponsible to protect the state,” he said. “The exclusive use of massive and historic poorly maintained transmission lines through vast heavily wooded and dry fueled mountains is absurd.”

too late now to do anything but shut the fucker off if a kite will fly.
2018 bankrupted them
2019 could eliminate them.

California is a land of destructive lawsuits that benefit a few at the cost of the many. What PG&E are doing is going on strike until they get liability protection that is mandated by law. You want to sue us, fuck you, we'll just shut the shit down until you give us legal protection. It's like doctors or any other over-sued and legally pummeled profession, destroyed by uncertainty and absurd, cumbersome and expensive practices meant purely for legal protection, refusing to work.

When the public screams loud enough at being deprived and kick the ass of the politicians, watch a law get passed that absolves PG&E from acts of God and LibbyFuck Folly.

Thanks again, lawyers.

Buddy of mine says his father-in-law who works at PG&E told him that is exactly what is going on.

Fucking obvious.

Well, at least he had someone to blame which is by far the most important thing.

So why don't California green folk just outfit their homes with solar power for electricity, use pellet stoves for heat, consolidate trips with neighbors, go to bed at dark and wake up at dawn, and so on? Excellent opportunity to lower the carbon footprint.

Rich Californians should buy those Tesla batteries and solar panels instead of complaining. If my coffee shop was the only one open for miles I'd more than make up for the cost of the 2. Instead Californians will whine.

PG and E is doing this on purpose btw. Sounding similar to the Enron fiasco
