Most of the gains of human civilization have been in periods of warming and relative cosmic and geologic calm. Seems nobody remembers the Little Ice Age, which was so severe it wasn't even properly documented, that created the Dark Ages and caused a radical pull back of civilization in Europe, along with crop failures and disease. The subsequent Renaissance was due to the warming period that followed the Little Ice Age.

The prediction of more hurricanes and severe storms due to global warming are also false. Historical studies of hurricanes have shown that the most severe and frequent storms have actually occurred during global and oceanic cooling, not warming.
