I've noticed the liberal media has, as usual, tried to blame everything they can on President Trump. In particular, recently he's been hitting the most woke states, counties, congressional districts, and cities with left-hooks that expose the correlation between homelessness and democrat govt.
Keep in mind Trump has recently been very publicly speaking about cleaning up CA's homelessness mess for them, and is currently in CA making such statements. CA dems know this is very humiliating to them, because solutions have evaded them, and fear that President Trump will actually do something about it, making them look inept.
CNN, in typical sheepskin, gaslights by demonstrating a narrative that even the best of us end up homeless (they found a black Yale valedictorian entrepreneur), implying it's not a fault of govt. Such a narrative gets dems off the hook. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/17/us/los-angeles-yale-graduate-homeless/index.html Instead, they say the homeless problem is "complicated". Indeed it is - last I heard it was about 11 million complications.

So, the liberal media retaliates with more lies:
published TODAY (the headline suggests a reality disconnect)
"America needs a president who cares about the homeless. Will Donald Trump even try?"

Gavin Newsom campaigned on solving homelessness, but he knows that he's failing at it. So, what should he do? Blame the federal govt!
"Unwilling to take responsibility for the homelessness crisis he helped create, California’s Governor Gavin Newsom is now attempting to shift the blame to the federal government."
